  2. We see in the last month/year a much bader update experience for reader than before. The formerly usable ftp-server is not actual anymore:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/AcrobatDC/
And we see lots of customers where the function "Search for updates" inside Reader is GONE - even a clean NEW installation does not show it anymore! So what can be done if this position is gone in the help menu? And how can update enrollment be done better (actually we get the ARM folder on an updated PC and deply this packet afterwards, but this only works incremental - and if one version is missing…

  3. It would be nice to have a 'save all closed tabs'. Then I can re-open these on the next session. Unfortunately, this option is still not available.
Google has such extension called OneTab. Something similar on Adobe Reader would be great!
This has been requested by several others (see in comments https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/31145458-save-all-tabs-with-one-click)

Once you re-start, you should just be able to re-open the whole bunch of pdf's that you closed before with one click

  4. Allow users to keep a toolbar displayed. I have to constantly go to View<Tools<Comment<Open to display the Comments toolbar.

I should have the option of keeping that toolbar open and have it persist even to another session using the software, until I instruct otherwise.

  5. Hello, I have found a bug. When in the following configuration:

    • Read Mode OR Fixed-width scrolling
    • Viewing two pages at once (i.e. bottom of one page and top of the next page are both visible on screen)
    • Using the touchscreen of my 2-in-1 (HP Elitebook G4 if that's relevant) to highlight text

I am able to tap once to select a word on either page, but one one of the two pages, I am not able to alter that selection (i.e. grab the little handles at either end of the selection and expand it to include more text). Instead, it…

  6. We are using Adobe Reader 21.001.20145 (32 bit) Optional update, Mar 10, 2021 and Office 2013 Version 15.0.5275.1000 (32 bit) on Windows Server 2012 R2 with all updates installed (March 2021)

The error occurs after sending an email (successfully) using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 21.001.20145. If you then close Acrobat Reader, the program crashes with the error 32BitMAPIBroker.exe (see screenshot attached).

The problem does not occur with an older version, fe. 2020.006.20034 of Acrobat Reader .

The same problem existed before, here is the reference to it

  7. The arrow ignores the pre set color and is always placed red. You have to place an arrow and go into settings every time to change the color from red to f.e. black.

  8. I created a form using Adobe Acrobat 9. I added a java script in the background to alert the user of any fields that were not filled out, including multiple signature lines. I tested the form frequently, using Acrobat 9, pro and reader DC, and it worked perfectly. Now I am getting reports from the users(using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC), that they are getting an error message stating that the signature lines need to be populated when the lines have the signatures inserted already.

All users using the latest version of Adobe Reader DC, this issue occurred after the latest…

  9. Adobe Reader DC for Windows keeps files locked after they have been closed. It is necessary to completely close Adobe Reader DC for the files to be closed. Please fix this bug!

  10. If I make changes to several open PDF documents, it would be better to have an option to Save All changes other than get a prompt for every PDF document.

  11. Hello there,
Can you add a prompt for updates?
"Adobe Acrobat requires an update that will require a restart before using the application. Update and restart or install later?"

You see, when Acrobat updates automatically and I'm still running the app, I can still open things, but if Acrobat updates and I'm not currently running the app, then I can't open the app until I restart.
In terms of workflow this means that to access a PDF needed immediately for work I need to save and close everything, restart, then reopen everything. This took about 7 minutes without including reopening…

  12. I was not given an option to unselect the McAfee security offering at install. I only wanted Reader and nothing else but it installed all so I had to go through the uninstall process for the McAfee portion.

  14. For mouse based users. Remove the excess space, and reduce the size of toolbars and buttons, to maximise screen space available for the document.

  15. When double clicking a file in Windows Explorer where the path is longer than 260 characters does not work as default. But I have been able to create a workaround that enable this.

If I type the following in cmd.exe:
AcroRd32.exe "C:\Very long path\file.pdf" then that will fail.

If I enable "Enable Win32 long paths" in Group Policy and try the same command, then it works. This means that long paths are supported when it is enabled in Windows.

    I created a bat-file like this:
    set str=%1
    set str=%str:\?=%
    AcroRd32.exe %str%

This will remove \?\ from the first argument and…

  16. The new released MAC uses the new OS which is called "M1". Apple stopped using intel as their OS and started producing their own OS. I hope that the M1 OS compatibility will be available soon.

  17. When highlighting scanned documents, would be very helpful to have a key stroke option to force the tool to highlight a straight line. Acrobat will currently do this automatically for short/very straight segments. Please consider adding option to hold down a key (e.g., shift, ctrl, etc.) while using the tool to force a straight line rather than truly free form - which can be very messy and unprofessional in appearance depending on the context.

  18. I have a Microsoft Word file that has custom page size specified in the layout (specifically width 6.14" height 9.14"). There are also custom margins. When I convert to pdf via File > Print > Microsoft Print to PDF a pdf file is created but the page size is not correct. A pdf file is created that is 8.5"x11" not 6.14"x9.21". After trying to debug and spending 6+ hours with Microsoft tech support, there seems to be a problem on the Adobe side when the Word file is passed to Adobe to be converted into a pdf. I have noticed…

  20. First of all I want to thank all of you guys you are doing a great job.

second, I know that we can attach a jpg file ,but you will have to leave the reader and open it and when you send it to others it won't open and I know that we can edit pdf to add images ,but sometimes there is no enough space in the page and its so hard to readjust the pdf so it looks normal again, so if we could to comment with a sticky note but we can add in that sticky note…
