  1. BUG: Cannot scroll comments

    When entering a comment I am NOT ABLE to scroll the comment.

    On Win10 PC Acrobat DC version 24.002.20933 scroll was working OK.

    On the new Acrobat DC version 24.002.20965 - Scroll broken again

    Note: I can scroll by dragging the scroll bar.
    BUT I cannor scroll using any of the scroling controls,
    viz< Up arrow, DOWN Arrow , Numpad 7 HOME , Numpad 1 END
    Numpad 8 Line Up , Numpad 2 Down Line,
    Numpad 9 PGUP, Numpad 3 PGDN
    and also NOT ANY of the CTRL&xx functions.

  5. Dock floating toolbar

    Please make the floating toolbar dock-able. It is constantly covering things in my document that I would like to see, no matter where I try to position it. It is really annoying. There is a lot of space in the top menu bar area where all the icons from this toolbar can fit it, where they will be out of the way and easily accessible.

  6. Insight in signature properties (eg policy and commitment type)

    With digital signatures becoming more mainstream, people are becoming more aware of what a signature means legal wise.
    By ETSI standards the meaning of a signature can be defined by a signature policy and/or commitment type.
    Unfortunately these eare not shown in the signature panel if present.
    We woud also love to have an option for showing other properties of the signature as more and more information is embedded in it that could have legal impact.

  9. Show highlight color in comment sidebar

    I highlight in several colors. Yellow might be text I want to save, while I might use blue for chapter heads and subheads. I can't find a way to indicate the color of a highlight in the comments sidebar. I'd like to, say, scroll through the comments in the right-hand column (when Comment tool is selected) and see the blue chapter heads. For example, where it says "highlighted text" could be blue, or have blue highlight, or just a splash of blue somewhere.

  10. New 'Acrobat experience' layout is not good

    The new layout is an incredibly annoying 'experience', and it's almost as if Adobe knew it was, because they added the high-level option in the main menu to disable the new 'experience'. It is frustrating that you have to click this every time you reopen reader though, and there is the worry that at some point they will take away the option to disable it! Please go back to the tried and tested layout or give us the option to permanently configure it that way - if something isn't broken, don't try and fix it! Thanks.

  11. CREATE button - remove or option to remove in preferences

    CREATE button is annoying. It takes up real estate for your tabs and when the window is minimized it is too easy to click it when trying to move the window or double-clicking the title bar to maximize. I suggest the option of being able to remove it through the preferences menu or please move it out of the window title bar to a different location.

  12. High growing memory usage with Use Page Cache enabled

    When "Preferences > Page Display > (Rendering) Use Page Cache" is enabled (which is the default) then on some files memory can grow very quickly to many gigabytes causing the MacOS 14.4.1 (Sonoma) to want to Force Quit apps.

    Interestingly, if one changes focus to switch to another app or the Finder, then the high memory usage disappears, but switching back to Acrobat will have it grow again.

    The memory grows when scrolling to view other pages. One of the worst PDF file examples I found for this is the following file online (from Safari I used the option near…

  15. Move the cookies prompt for Adobe Sign

    Our business started using Adobe Sign this year for sending PDFs to clients for e-signatures and though the instructions are simple, we have encountered a number of clients who don't complete the signing.

    We discovered that it is because the Adobe "cookies" prompt that pops up obscures the final "click to send" portion of the signing process. This is particularly confusing for our elderly clients but clients of all ages have had some difficulty due to the final step being obscured.

  16. Remove "Create" button

    The "Create" button only causes me headaches. Every time I roll over it to move or maximize the app, it brings up a new document that I never want. This is very, very frustrating. Please make a way to turn it off or remove it entirely as I cannot come up with a reason to ever use that feature.

    BUG: AdobeARM v1.824.460.1067 (from Adobe Acrobat Reader MUI v24.001.20629) getting stuck in memory after error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicodepath failed, error: -2147483635". Can download files (AcroRdrDCUpd2400120643MUIincr.msp and ReaderDCManifest3.msi on 04/01) and (AcroRdrDCUpd2400220687MUI.msp and ReaderDCManifest3.msi yesterday, so on 04/12) but is unable to continue installing updates because mostly looping on error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicodepath failed, error: -2147483635" and also sporadically also meet error "NtReadVirtualMemory readpeb failed, error: -1073741790".

  18. Bug Report: Optional Content Groups affect color of other items

    While testing a PDF document with Optional Content Groups (aka "layers"), I noticed that sometimes changing the visibility of an OCG causes the colours of other items to change.

    The PDF specification explicitly states "Hiding a section of optional content shall not change the colour of objects that do not belong to the same optional content group.", so I believe this is a bug in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    I am attaching the PDF file and a recording of the issue. Unfortunately the issue does not happen 100% of the time - I am not sure what triggers it, but resizing…

    As of Adobe Reader 24.x, the setting "bAcroSuppressUpsell" no longer suppresses the upsell button. It now suppresses all items in the tools pane.
