  2. Cross-highlighting of PMI is not working in the 64 bit version of Adobe Reader DC. This is the functionality that will highlight a surface(s) that the PMI is related to when selecting the PMI. A 3D PDF opened in the most current version of 32 bit Adobe Reader DC is working correctly, the same 3D PDF opened in the latest 64 bit version of Adobe Reader DC will not work.

It's my understand that Adobe added this functionality around 2013, in Adobe Reader 11, I believe. It seems that 64 bit Adobe Reader DC has reverted back to pre Adobe…

  3. Since the March 7th update, the Windows 10 File Explorer preview pane will display a directory listing instead of a preview of a pdf if a # (hash tag/pound sign) is in the directory name or the file name. Not all special characters have been tested.

  4. For all of the machines in my Win 10 2004 test group, the Reader plugin for IE (AcroPDF64.dll) has lost the ability to start the print dialog, either from the handy button in the border UI, the drop down menu, or Ctrl+P. In all cases nothing happens. There are a variety of versions on the affected machines but most of them are quite current (20.9.20063 and ...65). The problem is restricted to IE (11 I have no other versions to check) and the new windows 10 2004 feature build.

  5. I need to read a PDF while using others apps at the SAME TIME; Reading the documentation of the other program from a PDF file.

I don't need toolbars. I dont' need status bars. I don't need menu bars.

I can press ctrl-f If I want to search for something, I can press ctrl-p if I want to print the document. I don't need a buttons or search bars for those to be constantly visible.

If I need to use ANY other functionality, I can right-click and all that functionality could be put into that right-click menu.

    I ONLY WANT…

  6. When viewing PDF documents containing images on my wide gamut monitor using Acrobat Read DC (Windows 10), images have oversaturated colors.
The same PDFs looks OK when opened in Photoshop or previewed in Bridge.

    See also this thread:

I have done some systematic testing. There seems to be a color management problem/error in the (urrent Windows version of Acrobat Reader DC:

    Procedure

I have made two test images:

    • image-AdobeRGB.jpg: - a JPEG image file with an Adobe RGB (1998) embedded color profile
    • image-sRGB.jpg: - a JPEG image file with a sRGB IEC61966-2.1 embedded color profile

    For each image…

  7. Acrobat Reader DC changes the mouse pointer into its own scheme. Not talking about the specific tools, just the standard mouse when hovering over the Acrobat window.
I don't have the best vision, so I have my Windows mouse pointer set to be very visible, or I will lose track of it on the screen. But when using Acrobat, I lose track of the pointer, because Acrobat INSISTS that I don't get to use my custom pointer, but rather use the virtually invisible Acrobat default.
Why would Acrobat need to change the pointer? I get it for specific tools, like…

  8. I have problem when PDF document is stored at network drive and my notebook has temporary problem with WiFi. Or when notebook is suspended and later resumed, network drive is not accessible for some time (I have to reconnect it manually). In such cases I see many blank pages in PDF file that was opened in the past (new pages are not read from the file). I have to close document and open it again. That is not nice and I believe that "refresh/reload" function will fix this problem. It is possible to find similar requests in the forums on…

  9. Please allow the option for Windows default cursor. It is impossible to find the cursor set that is default in a document. That little Cross cursor gets lost so easily and I have to move mouse from one end to the other until something reacts and lets me know where it is then try to guess its location as I move towards my click.

  10. Could you please allow users to pin one or both of the above options to the tool menu, or the top ribbon, to allow one-touch use of this feature. It's such a commonly used feature to be buried under 2+ clicks.

  11. I'm in my web browser, and like 99.99% of other applications, you know what's on the right side of the window? A SCROLL BAR.

Whoever at Adobe decided that you guys are so special that you could break this rule by adding a menu...needs to be shot.

At the very least give us an option to move it to a NORMAL menu position for cripes sake.

But this is horrible. Are you guys sharing UI dev people with Facebook or something?

  15. HI. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 and Adobe Reader DC.
I think there is security bug at Adobe Reader DC when handling 3d-pdf files.

The problem is enabling 3d measurement tools at Adobe Reader DC with secured 3d-pdf files made by Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.
I contacted to region customer service about this problem and received this function is intended option.

Customer center said that you’d better to contact bug report if you want to know about further information.

I should have not have bought Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 bundle if enabling 3d measurement tools for secured 3d-pdf…

  16. Adobe Reader is very slow after I resize the window on my Windows 10 laptop. This includes maximizing and restoring down a window. If I only open one document, it usually takes 1-3 seconds to respond, depending on how complicated the document is. This is already significantly slower than Firefox and Chrome. Furthermore, if I open two documents, resizing takes 3-6 seconds, and longer when more document tabs are opened. This is a big performance issue. Looks like Adobe Reader is rendering all the documents synchronously after the window is resized, which is completely unnecessary; it should only render the…

  17. When highlighting scanned documents, would be very helpful to have a key stroke option to force the tool to highlight a straight line. Acrobat will currently do this automatically for short/very straight segments. Please consider adding option to hold down a key (e.g., shift, ctrl, etc.) while using the tool to force a straight line rather than truly free form - which can be very messy and unprofessional in appearance depending on the context.

  18. It would be useful to have arrows like in web browsers to move smoothly in documents with cross-references and bookmarks.
I am a latex user and often in pdfs produced by latex for scientific documents there are hyperlinks for equations, figures and bibliographical references in text. It would be useful in reading, once you have checked the reference to be able to go back.

  20. Clients with Windows 10 1809 or more (or Win2019) trying to access a PDF via a DFS that is stored on a Windows server 2019 server are not able to open more than 1 pdf.

Can this please be fixed as Windows Sever 2019 is being used more widely.
