  1. Acrobat lite add-on to Reader

    It would be nice if you could make a more affordable version of Acrobat, or an add-on to the Reader, with just TWO capabilities: merge pdfs and password protect. Users like me do not need to modify pdfs, convert from MS Office, sign, etc. etc. etc. And once or twice a month need to merge or password protect so a monthly fee to Adobe is rediculous for occasional use. If built into Reader, which I'm sure you won't do, that would be very nice of you so that users like me could do the simpler tasks without having to use…

  2. Issue: PDF Preview handler prevents file deletion on SMB Shares from Windows Terminalserver 2016 Sessions

    Basic infos

    Setup1:

    OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Standard // 10.0.14393 // 64 bit

    Adobe Acrobat Versions :

    • DC 20.009.20074

    • DC 20.006.20042

    • Classic Track 2020

    Setup 2:

    OS: Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard // 6.3.9600 // 64 bit

    Adobe Acrobat Versions :

    • DC 20.012.20041

    Problem Description / Situation

    • Windows Explorer preview is active.

    • Adobe Reader is the preview handler

    • Select a file that is on a smb fileshare and send delete request.

    Expected behaviour.

    • file gets deleted

  4. scrolling motion is not smooth on the pc version of adobe acrobat, while on mac it is natural and easy to read and not laggy

    I have a bad experience scrolling and reading pdfs on pc
    because its very laggy , while on ipad and the mobile version of this app its very smooth
    I hope you can solve this problem

  5. Zoom Percentage For Full Screen Mode

    We Desperately Need To Be Able To Control How Much Zoom We Want In Full Screen Mode.
    The Ctrl+ And Ctrl- Just Take Such Big Steps And I Cannot Adjust The Right Amount Of Zoom I Want.

    I Hope It's Not Too Difficult To Understand Or To Implement ... Because Without This, I Cannot Use Adobe Acrobat/Reader

  9. Bug: Problem with Windows Scaling high dpi

    When I click on "search for new updates" on my acrobat reader on my windows laptop surface laptop 3, there appears a new window where acrobat checks whether there are new updates, but this window is blurred. You have to adjust your programm script so that acrobat reader can handle this situation. I think it has something to do with the windows scaling function. I have set the scaling as recommended on 150% on my laptop. If acrobat would be programmed correctly this shouldnt matter. Please fix this. As you can see in the attachment its badly blurred.

  10. Allow options to show dimensions in feet and inches rather than just inches.

    I work with floor plans all the time and it bugs me that when all I need to do is a simple area measurement of feet and inches I have to settle for an area of just inches. I would like to have the option to at least pick how I want my measurements to appear on my document for more efficient measuring.

  11. Stop seizing control of default apps on my computer.

    I have a legal copy of Acrobat Pro X (Creative Suite) that I love (I use it over Creative Cloud supplied by my employer). PROBLEM: I cannot have Reader DC (needed for shared forms sent to me occasionally) installed at the same time as it always acts as default app even though the Windows 10 default app still lists Acrobat Pro. This is as infuriating as when Edge automatically changes this every time there is a Windows update. I already own Finereader 15 that does everything Acrobat does and more and does not require a monthly subscription. You lost a…

  12. Read Out Loud Function - highlight words or phrases as it is reading

    The Read Out Loud function really needs to be updated so that it works better for individuals with reading difficulties, such as dyslexia. If they want this aspect of adobe to work well and actually benefit many of those who need it, it should highlight words and phrases as it is reading so that is easier to follow when reading, and know where in the text the reader is.

    This will make the product a lot more accessible to people with dyslexia, dyspraxia or the likes.

  14. New Adobe Reader Function Freeze Panes ?

    Dear Adobe Team,

    could you add a function / command inside the view menu of the free adobe reader that works similar to the function 'freeze panes' in Microsoft Excel.
    That would allow to freeze headings/captions if you use the pdf reader for presentations of management reports etc.
    This could be useful in video conferences as well when you only can present a section of the full report.
    If this would work for picture, text and table objects would be nice.

    Unfortunately I have not seen such a function in a pdf reader before.

  15. there should be a way to set a default paper size for your printer in Acrobat Reader DC

    For some reason, Acrobat Reader DC assumes that all .pdf files will need to print on A4 paper. My printer is configured for Letterhead (8.5X11). I can reset the size when printing but should not need to do so. I'm fairly certain that none of the institutions sending me .pdf files are using A4 as they are located in Canada and Canada is still using Imperial sizes to maintain compatibility with the USA.

    I have the same problem... page 2 prints on a new page even though the print request is for double sided print. From all accounts it seems to be a widespread problem when a document has an odd number of pages. I tried to print just page 1 and 2 of a three page document but it still printed pages 1 and 2 on separate pages! What a waste of paper. This issue seems to be ongoing for some years and I cannot understand why Adobe cannot fix it…

  19. Allow selective print of tiles from Poster print / Tiled print

    When printing a "Poster" or tiled printout, where the PDF is not scaled but is printed on multiple sheets, one should be able to selectibely only print certain sheets. This is useful, for example, if you have a 15 or 20 sheet print of some architectural plans (or any large file) and you have a printer error with 2 pages to go. Now you have to re-print everything, which could take an hour or more depending on printer, and is a waste of energy, ink, an paper and harms the environment.   20. (The free version) On macOS you should NOT break normal system behaviors like "Print to PDF".

    That is a system behavior and is expected of all apps on macOS. "Print to PDF" is NOT a creative function, but an output function. It would be useful for getting around bugs etc, related to printing.
