OCR Messing up highlight and free form tool.
Behavior is on Windows 7 | Acrobat Pro XI version 11.0.23
When running OCR (English and Italian) previous drawing markups (Free Form Tool) and highlights are corrupted. Free forms were rotated 90 degrees and translated, while highlights were moved up about 2.5 lines. I attached a word document with screenshots of the behavior. This behavior messed up highlighting work by a professor at Indiana University.

I have continuously had a problem with Adobe Acrobat crashing after I have added scanned files. I paid to update to newer version not help.
Adobe Acrobat Pro crashes often when scanning. This is an inherent problem with Adobe that they need to fix as I upgraded to newer version to avoid this and the problem is just as prevalent.

Combine Odd Page File with Even Page File
Many scanners are not duplex. Thus, users scan odd pages (1, 3, 5, etc.) first then save the file. Next, users turn the stack over to scan even pages (n, n-2, n-4, etc.) then save the file. The problem comes when trying to combine in sequential order. Please create a tool that simply selects odd page file, then reverse even page file, then combines in proper order.

ORC without ruining text
Please forward to your designers:
Your OCR and optimization settings are all guesswork and generally produce counter-intuitive results in terms of image quality and file size.
Not only are the results counter-intuitive, it seems there is no combination of settings which does not create a fuzzy mess of the text.
Adobe is incomprehensibly inept at handling its own creation.

Text identification
I use Adobe Standard XI and have problems with the text identification tool. If for some reason the identification is not performed (lack of memory etc.) it goes into a loop requiring an answer for every page in the document before letting go. How can this be overcome?

'Insufficient data for an image' keeps appearing on PDF files on Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro
Over the last few months when we try to open PDF files on either programs, 'insufficient data for an image' error appears and the PDF file turns blank. We are scanning from a printer called Sharp MX-3640. It is happening to different PDF files.

Compare Documents function not working correctly - space not registering
I'm looking for a PDF comparing tool that needs to scan vey large PDFs for changes, I've just installed the latest version of Acrobat as a trial and I've noticed that spaces in between some text isn't register, and graphics that haven't moved are coming up as a change.

OCR Fails & Cursor for Select is about five inches (5") -- about 8 legal lines in height. Can't select one line or even multiple lines.
Even after using "Recognize Text" and "Correct Recognized Text" Adobe DC does not recognize the text. Worse, the Select tool or highlighter is about 5 inches -- impossible to select any one line or word.

Can not scan and create a new PDF, have to scan to combine PDF. Give me back Acrobat XI any day!
When I try to scan & create a new PDF file, the program crashes after scanning 9 times out of 10. The only reliable way to scan and create a PDF is to combine it with a blank PDF file.
I'll take Acrobat XI over this time consuming software any day. Unless Adobe is willing to repay me for time lost!2 votesNever get any reply. Closing this thread as of now. We will reopen it if get the required information or an update.
Thanks.

On both printers, the scanning fails to scan both sides, even though settings are for both sides scanning
Bug report- even when set for both sides scanning, scanning occurs on only one side. This occurs on both of my printers.

Fix requested: Scanning with HP Pagewide MFP 577dw only allows native interface
Adobe only allows the use of the native interface for the HP Pagewide MFP 577dw. The HP Native Interface is clunky, won't save default settings, and has trouble scanning multipage with automatic document feeder. Adobe worked flawlessly with previous printer. Can you please fix? Thanks!

"Don't forget your scan" is displayed in the Adobe Scan app for Android after successfully scanning something.
"Don't forget your scan" is displayed in the Adobe Scan app for Android each* time I use the app to successfully scan. *This issue is repeatable. The scans are viewable on a PC, so this is why I say say they scans are successful even though the message is displayed each time I use the Android app.

Receiving error: Acrobat could not perform Text Recognition on this page because: unknown error - I do not want OCR or Text Recognition!
The application somehow started running OCR automatically - I'm unable to stop it or figure out how to turn it off. It slows down converting any document to PDF.
How do I stop Text Recognition from running?
I looked this up, but don't see the option to turn off.1 vote -
I simply wanted to attach a PDF to an email...NOW SIMPLY A HASSLE!
Typically, repeatedly, I simply want to attach a reduced-size pdf to an email. All it took was a simple pull-down menu to do the reduced size and text recognition.
My time is valuable to me. Now creating/iusing a pdf...WHEW!
If I'm having difficulty figuring out all the new PDF gingerbread and where basic tools are hidden...what about those who are not computer inclined?
Please! New features are great in themselves. Don't reshuffle the pdf layout like cards and make those committed/using PDF's flounder!1 vote -
Cannot print and will not create boxes around OCR'd text.
Acrobat DC is awful. Won't print, email or edit. How do I return to the earlier version I used?

this software doesn't work anymore how did you manage to mess up acrobat?
why is acrobat so slow? Is my Adobe account scanning every word of every page I'm trying to open? these are just pdfs, why are they crashing my system? and YES it's the newest version and YES my system should be more than able to handle it. The problem is this company has gone from creating (or buying) good software to just making malware to bug up their products and shake as much cash as possible from the users

Bug report. crash on select B&W
Create | PDF from Scanner (Canoscan 9000) | in 'or use predefined scan setting' select 'Black and white document'.
When that setting is selected, Acrobat crashes immediately, without message, every time.
only applies to predetermined setting as modifying default to B&W from the gear does not cause crash
version is 2018.011.20038 / OS: Win 10 Home 64 bit
