I’ve been working on packaging design files that need to be shared with a manufacturer in PDF format. The issue I keep running into is that when I export from Illustrator or InDesign into Acrobat, the box dimensions and cut lines sometimes shift or scale incorrectly, which causes problems when sending them for print approval.

Has anyone here figured out the best way to maintain exact dieline proportions when exporting packaging artwork into Acrobat? Should I be embedding the dieline as a non-printing layer, or is there a setting I might be missing to lock scaling 1:1?

Any advice or workflow tips would be much appreciated!
