  1. In the influx of remote learning, students are being sent work in PDFs. Opening them through Google Classroom in an internet browser offers no way to easily edit the content and fill in answers. As this will be a way of learning for the immediate future, something needs to be rolled out to allow this to be done for free for students. Currently I have to download and then open with adobe, but it’s a lot of extra steps when it could be so much simpler.

  5. I want to create a window-in-window which will hold the next image in pdf. This way, if a reader is reading a book or a journal with diagrams, he/she will not have to switch pages just to see the diagram.

  6. Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open any PDF document in the Acrobat Reader DC on Windows (my version 2021.001.20138)

    2. Change the following (I do it for every single document, that should be the default):
      View -> Page Display -> Single Page View
      View -> Zoom -> Zoom to Page Level
      View -> Read Mode
      View -> Show/Hide -> Menu Bar

    3. Resize the window so that the page takes up precisely 100% of the window area, there are no blank margins around the page.

    4. Close the window

    5. Open the same document again

    Expected behaviour:
    Window size should be remembered. When you apply all…

  8. After the update from version 22.002.20191 to version 22.003.20258, we've detected an issue with the new Microsoft Purview Information Protection plug-in.

    It can happen, that Adobe Acrobat Reader DC crashes, if a MIP protected PDF file shall be opened. In this case the opening process hangs and Reader DC doesn't react any longer and you have to terminate the app.

    This happens, because the cached account information for MIP are obviously unusable (e.g. corrupt or invalid). The only solution currently is, to clear the cache via the "Clear remembered account information" button.

    But many standard users aren't aware of this…

  9. Desktop as a Service (DaaS) is a virtual desktop architecture that runs in the cloud and gives customers controlled desktops. In its most basic form, a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure's back-end infrastructure is hosted by a third party company (VDI). On servers housed in the data centre of the cloud service provider, virtual desktops are built and run. Since the complete infrastructure is housed in the cloud, the service provider really takes care of all required support, including but not limited to storage and network-related issues.

    Through their cloud-based network, the Desktop as a Service or DaaS provider in this case…

  10. Telecommuting is much of the time something worth being thankful for and one thing you can do inside the long haul, not simply in that frame of mind of the Covid calamity. Yet, you've in any case gotten to hold up great network protection propensities and keep up with your pc and information secure from untouchables. Adhere to the guidelines of your IT bunch and pose inquiries on the off chance that you feel a little skeptical. That implies utilizing all security processes like secure logins, substantial tokens, and getting your PC assuming you leave it unattended. Get to be…

  14. Adobe reader has been around for a long time, and lots of people have commented on public fora that its compatibility with Dragon NaturallySpeaking is extremely poor. This software is used by vast numbers of people with disabilities worldwide to improve their access to digital technology, and you really should make an effort to make your software compatible with it.

  15. (SYSTEM AND SPECS: Macbook Air M1 (2020), Apple M1, macOS Monterey 12.5, Acrobat Reader DC 2021.001.20169)

    When scrolling whilst in Fill & Sign mode the document screen seems to "glitch" or "tear" periodically when scrolling vertically through a document that is being filled.

    Attached is a screenshot and a video showing this behaviour.

  16. I have an idea for the find (ctrl + F) function. I propose there be a double find option to search for multiple phrases from different paragraphs. This feature would be useful for scientists and scholars who need to search a pdf for one phrase as it relates to another. For example, if I need to search for "enzyme replacement therapy" but I want to find where it relates to "Endocytosis" as opposed to "Passive diffusion" I can find it easily. I am sure there are countless other use-cases.

  18. I have noticed recently that the copy text function when copying some text from a PDF document doesn't work or fail to work properly after you send the computer or laptop to sleep and you wake up the computer / laptop from sleep, and the only way to get it working again is by closing down Acrobat Reader and then restarting up Acrobat Reader again.

  19. Blocks of text aren't rendering correctly in Chrome or Edge (it works in Mozilla). These are files that have been saved as PDF from Illustrator or Indesign. The text renders correctly in the PDF desktop application, but isn't working properly in browser readers.

  20. Many high-profile companies offer DaaS Solutions including Citrix, Microsoft Azure Desktop, Amazon Web Services (WorkSpaces), MTM Technologies (AnywhereApp) and VMware (Horizon Cloud). In this post, we run through some of the major benefits of Desktop as a Service or DaaS and why it is becoming so popular among today’s enterprises.
    What Is DaaS?
    Desktop as a Service (DaaS) is an exciting cloud-based technology that lets businesses deliver virtual desktops to any device from anywhere. Client devices act as a conduit for remote desktop processing without the need for onboard hardware, delivering organisations a host of benefits that simply aren’t…
