1. When saving PDFs show "save to previous location"

   When using 'Save As' for PDF's = previous versions of Adobe defaulted to the last save location, now it defaults to the main library every time and I have to do multiple "clicks" to save it to the file or folder that I want. If I am saving multiple pdf's to the same location at one time - this would save time. I don't want to 'pin' folder, as I may save to a different folder for another group of PDFs.

2. Make continuous scrolling the default, PLEASE!!!

   I’m still baffled that the default scrolling for pages in Adobe Reader has the reader smoothly scrolling down the page, bringing the text up to eye level (no one reads down a page any more unless it’s a physical book) only to have it jump to the top of the next page as soon as the bottom of the page is in view on the screen. This results in interrupted reading and endless and annoying backwards scrolling to get back to where the reader was. I know this can be changed in the settings, but why isn’t it the default? EVERYTHING we do on our smart phones, tablets, web browsers, and MS Office products uses continuous scrolling making Adobe Reader the odd and annoying exception. Don’t be the odd and annoying exception when it’s such an easy fix. While you’re making changes, I highly recommend changing the default zoom to 100% instead of zoom-to-fit which creates an abnormally high zoom for vertical docs—the minority of users who need this magnification can change their default settings if needed. Thanks!

4. Allow to choose own highlight colors from color wheel

   I color code my highlights and would really appreciate having an option to choose any color from a color wheel or hex code rather than having to choose from the 12 predetermined colors in the app. The iPad app is even more limited with only 7 colors to choose from.

5. Web-Search option back to browser PDF-viewer right-click menu

   I have to work with PDFs a lot and I have to deal with them via browser. For the past years I haven't had any problems with using the browser PDF-viewer, but as of recently the option to do a quick google search in a new tab when highlighting text within a document and right-clicking on it is no longer available. There is 'copy', 'print', 'rotate', 'save as' but not the 'search the web for [highlighted text]' which was so very helpful and useful for me. Please, consider making it available again since I can hardly imagine how anyone would benefit from removing this feature.

7. Permit me to configure a background color for searched-for-and-found text

   In some documents, there is by coincidence background colors that are very close to the color that Acrobat uses to enhance the visibility of searched-for text.

   In Acrobat preferences there is no way of changing this background color. For me, searched-for-and-found would be shaded a bright yellow. The default value is nice on a white background, but no use on documents that happen to have a similar (slate blue) color background.

8. FIX Unable to print mixed letter and legal size using a Mac

   This appears to be an ongoing issue for the past several years and I am still experiencing what so many others have found. There is a problem printing a LARGE (100+) PDF with mixed legal and letter sized pages using Adobe Reader on a Mac with a Brother laser printer.

   I think that Adobe support has not been able to recreate the issue because their test file has only two pages. If they create a 100+ page test file with mixed letter and legal and they should be able to replicate the issue.

   Here is what I have:

   I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) running Catalina, Brother HL-L6200DWT printer and using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.009.20063. I have all of the settings set correctly per the Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-mixed-page-sizes-acrobat.html
   I contacted Brother support as well and followed the details found at : https://help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/102267
   This included downloading and using the latest drivers from Brother. As instructed I tried both their CUPS driver and the BR-Script driver.
   I have printed using both a direct USB cable and over WiFi.

   When I print a large (100+) PDF file with mixed legal and letter it initially works for the first 10 or 20 pages but eventually the pages get cut off with legal pages being printed half way down the page and/or cut off. It is as though the data being sent to the printer eventually becomes "corrupted" so that it is unable to print correctly.

   Brother support provided a workaround that does work: Rotate the view of all of the pages by 180°, so it looks upside down on the screen.
   Then print the document as usual, and all the pages should print completely.

   Attached is a test.pdf file of multiple mixed size pages that I used to replicate the issue.
   Also attached is a result.pdf which is a scanned result from the printing showing the issue with pages being cut-off / misprinted. Note that the A4 pages are scanned as legal size, but you can still size how they actually printed on the actual paper.

10. Allow for selective sync on libraries

    The request is to allow for selective sync on libraries because the creative cloud is taking up too much space and storage on my computer and a lot of my libraries do not need direct access at this time.

12. My Android Reader can invert the display (white text on dark BG). Can the Desktop app do the same, easy on the eyes?

    In mobile Reader App, I can change the display to Night Mode (inverted color, white text on dark BG). Can I do the same in desktop Acrobat DC?

13. Enable access to files in long folder paths (longer than 255 characters)

    AR is unable to open files where the file and folder path exceeds 255 characters. To accommodate this we have had to replace it with a competitor's software.

16. Make Acrobat Reader to reopen all documents previously opened before

    Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.

    We already have it implemented in Reader.
    Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.

19. Stop seizing control of default apps on my computer.

    I have a legal copy of Acrobat Pro X (Creative Suite) that I love (I use it over Creative Cloud supplied by my employer). PROBLEM: I cannot have Reader DC (needed for shared forms sent to me occasionally) installed at the same time as it always acts as default app even though the Windows 10 default app still lists Acrobat Pro. This is as infuriating as when Edge automatically changes this every time there is a Windows update. I already own Finereader 15 that does everything Acrobat does and more and does not require a monthly subscription. You lost a customer when you made your business model change, but stop trying to control my computer.

    Steps to reproduce the issue:

    -> Open the document / form
    -> Use the "Fill & Sign" tool
    -> Enter any text using Polish diacritics, e.g. Ą, ą, Ć, ć, Ś, ś, Ż, ż, Ź, ź etc.

    Environment:

    -> OS: Windows 10 Pro 1909 (18363.719)
    -> Adobe Acrobar Reader DC Version: Polish (20.006.20034)

    Expected result:

    -> Forms should have a continuous homogeneous formatting. Unfortunately, even different fonts appear in one and the same field. Surprisingly, this problem does not concern German diacritics.

    Observed result:

    -> When filling out the forms, we should ensure that the text is properly formatted. Unfortunately, when using Polish diacritics, the font changes automatically and there is no possibility to maintain the formatting continuity. This makes the document look unprofessional.
