Thank you for reporting the issue to us. We are unable to reproduce the issue at our end on the Acrobat version specified by you.
Could you please share the file on which you are observing this issue and a snapshot of your commenting preferences.Regards

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please enable the commenting preference : "Always use log-in Name for Author Name" and then create comment. To enable the preference, use keyboard shortcut (Win : Ctrl + K , Mac: Command + K) and move to Commenting tab on the left hand side to locate the above mentioned preference.

Thanks for your time and patience and for your cooperation on this.
The fix is available with the latest update of Acrobat version 20.009.20065, please install the latest update from the help menu of the application>select check for updates, reboot application and try the F2 key functionality.F2 has been revert to renaming functionality . Please use F1 for contextual help when app is open and generic help no app is open.

Hi ,
In the latest update of Acrobat DC, we have tried to modernize the commenting experience and at the same time, made it very clean and intuitive to use.
As part of that, the checkbox is moved to the right click menu of the comment.Open comment>Right Click>Add Checkmark
Please also note that both the sort and filter options are available for the check mark.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and will consider adding the check mark by default for future updates of Acrobat DC.However there is a workaround to add a checkmark in one step by using the shortcut SHIFT + K . Hope that helps for now.

You can select all the comments that you want the checkbox to appear and use shortcut SHIFT + K to add a checkbox to multiple comments in one go.

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Please follow the below steps :
1. Open acrobat and press CTRL + K to open the preferences.2. Could you please try to disable the checkbox for the commenting preference : "Automatically Open comment pop-ups for comments other than notes ".
Once done, please create new comments . Let us know if that helps,
