Where in the heck is the "typewriter button" on acrobat I used for years on older versions.

@Kelly, The "Add Text Box" tool differs from the original Typewriter tool and makes adding text to a PDF document much more cumbersome.
Let's say you want to quickly fill out a form in a scanned document, you have to create textboxes everywhere first before filling out the form.
With the old typewriter tool you could type directly in the document much faster and efficiently. I can't understand why Adobe removed this feature.
@Shanna, the Add Text tool isn't the same either. If the document has editable text, it will try to edit ALL of the text in the document.
What made the Typewriter tool great is that you could simply add text on top of the document without messing up existing text.

In 2023 it's hiding under Edit tools "T+ text"

It's now called Add Text Box. Click on the plain T icon in the comments tools.
