Highlights Disappear in Document
Highlighted text in documents disappears after either saving the document that has been highlighted and also when working on the document in real time. When scrolling to the next page, sometimes the text and highlights of some or all pages disappears. After closing the document and reopening, sometimes the changes are completely gone and unrecoverable and sometimes the text comes back but highlights do not.

It sounds like a sync or cache issue. Try clearing your browser cache, updating the app, and checking your internet connection.
