  1. Acrobat Reader before Windows 11 used to be more useable. Over time, it has gotten so that I really don't like the interface - now I can't find how to return the navigation buttons at the top. I looked briefly in every visible setting. Adobe reader 2023 is slick, but I don't like it. And I'm someone who has worked with computers since Windows 98. Bring back navigation basics.

  2. When the Comment tool is open and highlighting is selected to change its color or when the Properties toolbar is used to change highlighting color, one matrix of 40 predefined colors appears. With the new interface, when the Comment toolbar is closed, a different matrix with 18 predefined colors appears. Two matrix formats makes assigning consistent colors for filtering or other tasks a real pain. Change the new pop-up to include all 40 colors and the "Other Color..." option.

  3. I've been using the new edition of Adobe Acrobat Pro for a month or so now, convinced the new layout woudl become intuitive and better; it hasn't. The revised version is very very frustrating. In addition, I'm now having trouble with Distiller producing quality pdf's. Distiller often produces documents without OCR and I can't even highlight text. I've found Microsoft's print to pdf feature to work much more reliably. This is a real shame. Adobe used to have realiable straightforward products (e.g. Reader and Distiller). Now, they've been revamped and, frankly, don't work well. Not sure if Adobe has a…

  4. Please see this discussion:

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/text-default-highlight-bug/m-p/14318127#M443956

TL;DR: Default highlight color should not change every time highlight color is changed for some text

  5. Add Option to remove tool panes by default at startup. They are far to big and take up ridiculous amount of space,As well as having to constantly minimize them.
This is a MAJOR problem in Landscape Mode

  6. Effectively, there are now 4 tool bars in Adobe Reader - one on each side of the document screen and two on top. While the loss of document space is not significant in general consider how even those minor losses affect users on laptops (varying screen sizes) and tablets. We have no option to dock and undock the floating tool bar with the rest of the tool icons on the second ribbon on the top. We also can't hide nor close the options list on the right-hand side of the screen although all these options are also available under editing…

  7. PLEASE have more space at the top of the window so I can click and drag to move the window around my screen. If you have many tabs open, there is basically no area you can click on to do that now.

  8. Allow a preference for "left-handed mode". When using a tablet, it would be much more convenient to have the scroll bar and side panel on the left-hand side as I am left-handed and using a stylus to annotate.

  9. In the free Adobe Acrobat reader, for Windows 11, have the right margin tool bar default to HIDDEN when opening a PDF. I never use it, it takes up screen space and I want to see my PDF content in full screen when I open. There should be a user preference to have it hidden. FYI, clicking "Remember Current State of Tool Pane" in Preferences does NOT solve it.

  10. The Adobe Acrobat reader User Interface (UI) does not append to the basic principle that allows each new document a new window. This is unusual as all different types of User Interfaces as a standard allow a new window for a new document. Having so many tabs confined within one window or instance of adobe is extremely limiting, particularly when a document is not always afforded the screen 'real estate' when multitasking with multiple programs. Secondly, when you need to access or read multiple documents, you need to easily be able to resize and manoeuvre multiple windows easily and having…

  11. When in "Zoom to Page Level" view the Page Down and Page Up must go exactly one page. Currently in Adobe Reader 2023.001.20143 it is roughly 97% of page height. It was good in Adobe Reader XI.

  12. Identical to the mobile app, please provide the Night mode. Existing accessibility option to replace colors is not the same. I see this has been asked for years. Such a simple feature, I'm a developer if you let me sign an NDA and work on this I'll do it for free. Why can't I use my Surface to read books at night like I do with my iPad?

  13. Blocks of text aren't rendering correctly in Chrome or Edge (it works in Mozilla). These are files that have been saved as PDF from Illustrator or Indesign. The text renders correctly in the PDF desktop application, but isn't working properly in browser readers.

  14. As explained in this post (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/get-rid-of-7-day-trial-after-rotate-from-context-menu-within-plug-in/m-p/12897117#M90403), we'd like to get rid of the pop up when a user clicks on the rotate buttons in the context menu.
In the base Adobe Reader it is possible to use other menu's, but when another piece of software uses the plug in, these menu's aren't available and users are left with either the rotate buttons which generate the pop up, or the only option Rotate to the right.
Please let the rotate buttons in the context menu act without the advert for the 7-day trial.
    TIA!

  15. Look, I get it. Reader DC is a free product Adobe would love to sell paid products/services. That's absolutely fine. But placing a toolbar button that suggests a basic feature such as rotate view may require the paid version/subscription is disingenuous at best. Seems a bit deceptive when it gets down to it. Not a fan Adobe!

  16. Steps to reproduce the issue:
    1) Open any PDF
    2) Choose the hand tool (or select tool) from the toolbar user interface
    3) Close the PDF (progam does not need to close)
    4) Open the PDF again
    5) Note which tool is now chosen (it is not the one you changed to)

    Environment: Windows 7

Expected result: The setting to be remembered after closing the program or PDF and opening the program or PDF again next time.

Observed result: Changing from select to hand or hand to select setting in the toolbar UI (Toolbar Item:->Select and Zoom Tools)

    Working Function:…

  18. The "Print Sections" command under the bookmarks panel won't work for the first section only. This command works for all other sections of the report. The problem is only with the first bookmarked section of each report.

  20. Is there a way to save multiple open documents to as a book mark? I often open multiple documents which are located in various places. It would be great to be able to save a session/project so that I can return to all those documents when I continue working on that project!
