  1. Many PDF documents contain internal links. When clicking on these, the user is taken to another part of the document. It would be incredibly useful to me and my colleagues if there was a 'preview link' option. Perhaps this could work by hovering the mouse over the link, and the preview to the link pops up in a small temporary window, allowing you to quickly view the link, without redirecting to a different page.

The motivation for this is as follows: In mathematical sciences, these internal links often refer to equations earlier in the document, which are being combined to…

  4. When the above option is selected the hightlighting of the current bookmark should follow the reading, i.e. the hightlighted bookmark should be synchronous to the currently read text. This was the case in former Readers but does not work any more.

  5. Hello,

I have usually opened few pdf files on my 3rd monitor (datasheets, manuals, etc - documentation for somethig that I work on right now), I also send inquires and initialize orders for things I need to... When I open pdf with invoices/inquires those files tends to move the Adobe Reader window to my center (primary) monitor and resize it (and change zoom) - it drives me mad.
I did a bit research and this must happens because those files have defined so called "InitialView", so here is my petition:

Add option that prevent window Adobe Reader DC from moving and…

  7. If we don't know meaning of the word while reading in a document then there must be search by web option along with the copy tab or you can simply add Dictionary into Adobe so that it will become more user friendly and more helpful to the person who is in need to search that meaning.

  10. I have to work with PDFs a lot and I have to deal with them via browser. For the past years I haven't had any problems with using the browser PDF-viewer, but as of recently the option to do a quick google search in a new tab when highlighting text within a document and right-clicking on it is no longer available. There is 'copy', 'print', 'rotate', 'save as' but not the 'search the web for [highlighted text]' which was so very helpful and useful for me. Please, consider making it available again since I can hardly imagine how anyone would…

  11. In some documents, there is by coincidence background colors that are very close to the color that Acrobat uses to enhance the visibility of searched-for text.

In Acrobat preferences there is no way of changing this background color. For me, searched-for-and-found would be shaded a bright yellow. The default value is nice on a white background, but no use on documents that happen to have a similar (slate blue) color background.

  15. Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.

We already have it implemented in Reader.
Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  16. Please for goodness' sake give users the option to completely remove the left and right sidebars instead of merely collapsing them. For users using Reader, the vast majority of the time all they will want to do is only read a PDF, and many will want as much screen space as possible to do so.

For the average Reader user, in the left toolbar the only thing they may want is thumbnail or chapter view. This could be on the top toolbar, with the other options available on a drop down menu from that button if you really must keep…

  17. Sometimes after 2021, the 2nd row of toolbars were removed and seemingly replaced by QuickTools. However QuickTools, albeit it's name, is less proficient than having the second row of tools available, in sight, and ready to be clicked.

Specifically, all I'm asking for is to bring back what was taken away just so that its inclusion can be set by the user. Personally, I'm on the side of a person who uses Adobe Acrobat Pro to edit documents and find that for the number of tools I use often, they're not as quickly accessible when having to click on a…

  18. Identical to the mobile app, please provide the Night mode. Existing accessibility option to replace colors is not the same. I see this has been asked for years. Such a simple feature, I'm a developer if you let me sign an NDA and work on this I'll do it for free. Why can't I use my Surface to read books at night like I do with my iPad?

  19. As explained in this post (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/get-rid-of-7-day-trial-after-rotate-from-context-menu-within-plug-in/m-p/12897117#M90403), we'd like to get rid of the pop up when a user clicks on the rotate buttons in the context menu.
In the base Adobe Reader it is possible to use other menu's, but when another piece of software uses the plug in, these menu's aren't available and users are left with either the rotate buttons which generate the pop up, or the only option Rotate to the right.
Please let the rotate buttons in the context menu act without the advert for the 7-day trial.
    TIA!

  20. Look, I get it. Reader DC is a free product Adobe would love to sell paid products/services. That's absolutely fine. But placing a toolbar button that suggests a basic feature such as rotate view may require the paid version/subscription is disingenuous at best. Seems a bit deceptive when it gets down to it. Not a fan Adobe!
