  1. This bug has been reported before. It was claimed that it was fixed in version 22.2.20191 (see this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/adobe-stays-open-after-quick-print/td-p/13068306), but we can still reproduce it in current version 23.8.20533.

The problem is that when a print command is issued to Acrobat, the application opens, prints, but does not close again when printing is finished.

We have a customer needing to print batches containing hundreds of documents. Because Acrobat misbehaves, a batch will get stuck whenever a PDF is encountered. The only work-around we found in Acrobat is to manually close the application after each print job. Of course…

  2. hide the "all tools" toolbar by default. this toolbar is only needed sometimes. this feature is enabled for the exception instead of the rule. since it takes up one-third of the display window and is on the left, it is distracting. when it was on the right, it wasn't as distracting. when viewing many pdfs over the course of the day, having to give up one third of the screen to a useless toolbar is frustrating.

  3. **** annoying to close the tools when opening a document. The "last tools state" doesn't work in the preferences. Gone back to the old look-n-feel.

  4. If "All Tools" was a living creature, I'd destroy it with Samurai inspired violence!

If you add a "disable sidebar" function to a near future build, I'll build you a state-of-the-art spaceship that's fitted with cannons that shoot armies of blood thirsty killer crocodiles @ all your enemies. The crocodiles have cybernetic eyes that shoot swarms of heat-seeking killer bees that were trained by the legendary Samurai, Miyamoto Musashi.

  5. The tools pane is large and must be closed every time I open Adobe. Please provide an option to close the tools pane so it is remembered by default

  7. All Tools automatically opens when a pdf is opened. Meaning to read it in full view you have to close it every time. This is extremely annoying and makes me not want to use pdfs as much. There should be a setting to have it closed by default. And the "Remember current state of Tools Pane" has no effect, seems to be a bug.

  8. The app should respect the OS setting to always show scroll bars. Instead, the scroll bar disappears after scrolling even though the OS setting is to always show scroll bars.

This is an accessibility problem and makes it impossible to drag the scroll bar with a pen.

  9. In the 'New Acrobat' UI, I got a new floating bar on the left top. However, sometimes it hovers over the content and is annoying. I want to have a option/button to collapse it to a small size, and on mouse hover/click it will be expanded again.

  10. Whenever I decide to go full-screen with my Mac (the green button in the top left corner, not the Adobe reading mode), it is almost impossible to choose from the different tabs that I have open, and it is even harder to close them. Why?

The new Adobe Reader layout has the tab bar higher and closer to the Mac menu bar. While you enable full-screen, the Mac menu bar is hidden and you only access it while moving the cursor to the top of the screen. Now, as Adobe's tab bar is on top, whenever you try to select…

  11. When I mouse wheel away from me I expect the view to zoom out. When I scroll the mouse wheel towards me I expect to zoom in. Please add the option to reverse the mouse wheel zoom as it is so annoying that this is the only software that has the default action backwards and no option to change it.

  12. Please, keep the Toolbar menus as they have been; there is no benefit to the professional end-user community for the change, we don't have the time to learn yet another new way to do something that works fine in the original format. We know you are bored. Please find something else to do. We appreciate that you kept a lifeline out of the mess that was done, truly. On the next security patch update; kill that bloody "new menu" option. It'll wind up becoming unsupported, and another security surface opportunity for villains.

  14. There should be an option to open files/adobe with Tools and Bookmarks NOT enabled. It is very annoying and inefficient to close those 2 windows every time i open Adobe to read a PDF. See pic of how files open by default, not very useful to see the document contents with a smaller window/screen without closing the undesired left/right bars.

  15. Stop the bookmarks opening automatically every time a PDF is opened. They have to be manually closed every time to provide more space to view the architectural drawing. Its very irritating and a very bad idea to have them opening every time as the default setting. They should be closed unless needed, not open and need closing every time.

  16. Acrobat Reader before Windows 11 used to be more useable. Over time, it has gotten so that I really don't like the interface - now I can't find how to return the navigation buttons at the top. I looked briefly in every visible setting. Adobe reader 2023 is slick, but I don't like it. And I'm someone who has worked with computers since Windows 98. Bring back navigation basics.

  17. Poster print doesn't work in latest version of Adobe Reader - tries on both windows and mac

On mac - Once you have deselected print as image - you can try and print as poster - BUT it only prints to 1 page - what ever you select in the options - you simply cannot print over multiple pages.

On Windows - It will only allow you to print the 1st page of the poster print - you can not select or print any of the other pages.

    Can this please be fixed
I am using latest version of Adobe…

  18. Is your QuickBooks version supported with Windows 10? In case you have updated or planning to upgrade to windows 10, then the major question that arises is that whether your QuickBooks version is compatible with Windows 10 or not. Windows 10 does not support every version of QuickBooks.

  19. When the Comment tool is open and highlighting is selected to change its color or when the Properties toolbar is used to change highlighting color, one matrix of 40 predefined colors appears. With the new interface, when the Comment toolbar is closed, a different matrix with 18 predefined colors appears. Two matrix formats makes assigning consistent colors for filtering or other tasks a real pain. Change the new pop-up to include all 40 colors and the "Other Color..." option.

  20. I've been using the new edition of Adobe Acrobat Pro for a month or so now, convinced the new layout woudl become intuitive and better; it hasn't. The revised version is very very frustrating. In addition, I'm now having trouble with Distiller producing quality pdf's. Distiller often produces documents without OCR and I can't even highlight text. I've found Microsoft's print to pdf feature to work much more reliably. This is a real shame. Adobe used to have realiable straightforward products (e.g. Reader and Distiller). Now, they've been revamped and, frankly, don't work well. Not sure if Adobe has a…
