  1. There should be an option to open files/adobe with Tools and Bookmarks NOT enabled. It is very annoying and inefficient to close those 2 windows every time i open Adobe to read a PDF. See pic of how files open by default, not very useful to see the document contents with a smaller window/screen without closing the undesired left/right bars.

  2. Please remove the "+ Create" button from the taskbar of Adobe Reader. It is too easy to incorrectly click on this button and annoyingly then takes time for the program to generate a blank page.

  3. New layout of Adobe Reader is utterly counterproductive, and makes everyday use of Adobe Reader much slower and confusing.
I, as well as many other users I know, am using Bookmarks and Pages in at least 95% of times when I use Reader. Therefore, they should be placed on the left, where they are expected to be (it is simply a standard for similar "master-detail" situations).
Also, primary tools, like paging, zoom-in and -out, are placed in a bottom-right corner, just like they were hiding?! But these are the basic tools, and they must be placed centrally, either on top…

  4. Whenever I decide to go full-screen with my Mac (the green button in the top left corner, not the Adobe reading mode), it is almost impossible to choose from the different tabs that I have open, and it is even harder to close them. Why?

The new Adobe Reader layout has the tab bar higher and closer to the Mac menu bar. While you enable full-screen, the Mac menu bar is hidden and you only access it while moving the cursor to the top of the screen. Now, as Adobe's tab bar is on top, whenever you try to select…

  5. Acrobat Reader DC MUI v24.002.20687 that is already configured to always open documents in "Protected View" was unable to confirm me that a Digital signature was already existing in a digitally signed document (I even checked Document properties with [Ctrl]+[D]) that when instead opened with Microsoft Edge Enterprise v109.0.1518.140 (Official build)(64-bit) immediately informed me that "This document is digitally signed. Some signatures couldn't be verified. View signatures" and so it immediately allowed me to see what was digital signature.
Now I understand that 'Protected View' is already a security feature and that also has some limitations (I even found that…

  6. Hi,

I would like to put the certificates tools permanently to the RHP, but it simply don't work to me. I have read the documentation about the "Tools customization" but that did not help.

My Adobe Reader version is 2024.002.20687 x64 hungarian.
    Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 23H2 the same behavior :(

I don't have the "remove shortcut" option shown in the docs (neither have an add shortcut option).

I tried the registry way to add the tool at the toolbar, but that did not help and after I close the Adobe Reader, my registry entry simply disappears from…

  7. When I mouse wheel away from me I expect the view to zoom out. When I scroll the mouse wheel towards me I expect to zoom in. Please add the option to reverse the mouse wheel zoom as it is so annoying that this is the only software that has the default action backwards and no option to change it.

  8. Please, keep the Toolbar menus as they have been; there is no benefit to the professional end-user community for the change, we don't have the time to learn yet another new way to do something that works fine in the original format. We know you are bored. Please find something else to do. We appreciate that you kept a lifeline out of the mess that was done, truly. On the next security patch update; kill that bloody "new menu" option. It'll wind up becoming unsupported, and another security surface opportunity for villains.

  10. Coworking space is a shared workspace that can be used by professionals, entrepreneurs, small business owners and freelancers. This type of office space has grown exponentially in popularity over the past decade, especially in the United States. It offers its members the ability to work in a dedicated coworking atmosphere that is conducive to productivity and collaboration. Coworking space in United States offers an affordable alternative to traditional office space as individuals need not commit to expensive long-term leases; coworking members can occupy coworking offices monthly or even daily depending on their needs.
You can fins 1000s of Coworking space…

  11. I observe a strange text extraction behavior in Acrobat Reader for the specific documents. The documents are tagged so generally all paragraph text lines are extracted as a single line. But in some cases the paragpraph text is extracted with line feed. Some experiments shows that it may be related to a presence of a Form XObject inside an artifact content.

  12. I disabled new acrobat reader for one primary reason. I couldn't customize the quick tools toolbar, so it reduced my productivity. The new interface would be better if customization was brought back.

  14. Acrobat Reader before Windows 11 used to be more useable. Over time, it has gotten so that I really don't like the interface - now I can't find how to return the navigation buttons at the top. I looked briefly in every visible setting. Adobe reader 2023 is slick, but I don't like it. And I'm someone who has worked with computers since Windows 98. Bring back navigation basics.

  15. Is your QuickBooks version supported with Windows 10? In case you have updated or planning to upgrade to windows 10, then the major question that arises is that whether your QuickBooks version is compatible with Windows 10 or not. Windows 10 does not support every version of QuickBooks.

  16. When the Comment tool is open and highlighting is selected to change its color or when the Properties toolbar is used to change highlighting color, one matrix of 40 predefined colors appears. With the new interface, when the Comment toolbar is closed, a different matrix with 18 predefined colors appears. Two matrix formats makes assigning consistent colors for filtering or other tasks a real pain. Change the new pop-up to include all 40 colors and the "Other Color..." option.

  17. I've been using the new edition of Adobe Acrobat Pro for a month or so now, convinced the new layout woudl become intuitive and better; it hasn't. The revised version is very very frustrating. In addition, I'm now having trouble with Distiller producing quality pdf's. Distiller often produces documents without OCR and I can't even highlight text. I've found Microsoft's print to pdf feature to work much more reliably. This is a real shame. Adobe used to have realiable straightforward products (e.g. Reader and Distiller). Now, they've been revamped and, frankly, don't work well. Not sure if Adobe has a…

  18. When opening PDFs from various sources, I often receive a JS pop up stating "This pdf form requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat...", in spite of having the latest version of Reader (23.008.20555 as of this post) installed. There are often multiple (as on 3-7+) popup dialogs that repeat this message whether OK or Cancel is pushed (the only difference being OK opens a browser window to redownload what I already have).

The PDFs in question are often generated by 3rd parties, E.G. Tax preparation software online. One such recent example used iText 2.0.7, which uses PDF version 1.5…

  19. I have been disappointed with the update to the layout. The pages are the right hand side. As a left handed person, I often use a touch screen or key strokes for many things. It wasn't great at the top, but I'm left handed, I'm used to adapting. The right hand navigation is disappointing. :( Please test more with lefties before you change things! Thank you!

  20. I haven't seen anything as catastrophic as the new interface in years, it will be **** to work with this.
The problem is the new floating menu for "Add comment". The menu, if activated, used to be on top of the page, so you could access everything with one click.

Now with the new menu, I have to laboriously access everything with at least two clicks. It is beyond annoying and time-consuming.

I am an editor and I work on lage pdfs which may have hundreds of comments and corrections. This will add to my workload no end. What on…
