Fix failure to start up
Conditions: Windows 10. My internet was flaky, I think because my Ethernet wired interface has a hardware problem. For instance, Chrome was very slow or would not load a website at all. Edge would load sites usually when in this condition. I do not know how, but it did.
When in this hobbled operational mode, if I clicked a PDF file in explorer, or an attachment in my email reader, Acroread would simply not start up at all. I'm sure the executable began momentarily because I could see a little spinner appear momentarily, but nothing appears on screen. No splash…

flipping effect/ animation while reading
Scrolling or viewing pages should also have an option of viewing with a flipping animation. Many pdfs are huge files to read and an animation effect like this would make the reading experience more natural and smooth.

File paths containing spaces are not remembered by Save As in Reader
I save certain PDF files to my Windows (10) Start Menu, usually in folders which, like "Start Menu", contain at least one space in their name.
The list of folders to which previous files have been saved apparently refuses to remember such folders, forcing me to copy-and-paste the applicable name /every/ time I want to save something there.
A folder name that does not contain any spaces, is remembered as usual.

Internet PDF Editing
In the influx of remote learning, students are being sent work in PDFs. Opening them through Google Classroom in an internet browser offers no way to easily edit the content and fill in answers. As this will be a way of learning for the immediate future, something needs to be rolled out to allow this to be done for free for students. Currently I have to download and then open with adobe, but it’s a lot of extra steps when it could be so much simpler.

OCSP uses HTTPS even when OCSP URL specifies HTTP
Recently we have noticed certificate revocation checking failures with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC.
In the Department of Defense, the OCSP URLs in the DOD PKI are "http://ocsp.disa.mil". These servers work. But they do not respond on the SSL-enabled port (https). But when we try to verify signatures with Acrobat DC, we get connection failures. Network tracing has revealed that even though the URLs in the certificate specify http, Adobe Reader is trying to connect to the https port, and this gets timeouts.
Environment: MacOS X
Steps to reproduce: Get a certificate that has an OCSP URL…2 votes -

Create a window-in-window which will hold the next image in pdf.
I want to create a window-in-window which will hold the next image in pdf. This way, if a reader is reading a book or a journal with diagrams, he/she will not have to switch pages just to see the diagram.

Formidable

remove the reply box from a comment
Can you remove the reply box from a comment box, it gets in the way of the comment itself. Have the reply bit as part of the right hand side pane and not on the comment box itself

HowTo collapse bookmarks should be discoverable in the UI
There are keyboard shortcuts to collapse bookmarks.
These shortcuts should be discoverable in the UI.
For example, the context menu for bookmarks should have the command, with the keyboard shortcut displayed next to it.I had to do a google search to find the keyboard shortcuts explained in a user forum:

Bug: Adobe Reader 2020.006.20034 - Incorrect service name for DDE communication
The issue exists in all Adobe Reader versions released in 2020.
To establish DDE communication with Adobe Reader, a client needs to know DDE service name. It can be read from the following entry in Windows registry:
Computer\HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application
This entry is created/updated during Adobe Reader installation.
Adobe Reader 2020.006.20034 saves the following value to this entry: "AcroViewR19". Our application reads this value and tries to establish DDE connections with Adobe Reader. However, DDE connection fails when "AcroViewR19" is used as service name. When the registry value is corrected to “AcroViewR20” – DDE connection successfully establishes. Any update of…1 vote -

ctrl + del and ctrl + backspace on fillable forms do the same thing
When filling in boxes on a pdf, ctrl+del and ctrl+backspace do the same thing. Ctrl+backspace should delete the previous word, but it deletes the next word instead. In other places, ctrl+backspace functions properly.

google drive save conflicted copy
Currently, when I use Adobe Acrobat to access a pdf on my Google Drive and comment on the pdf, saving the file to my Google Drive will sometimes create a new file inside my Google Drive instead of overwriting the original. Then I will have two files like "original.pdf" and "original (Conflicted Copy date and time).pdf)" Even when I go out of my way to click "Save As.." and overwrite the file in my Google Drive with the original name, Adobe will still save the pdf as a separate file called "Conflicted Copy." There needs to be a better way…

Preview Pane speed
Under a Windows 10 environment, when navigating a folder with the Preview Pane enabled, the time for the preview pane to populate is greatly increased. Under Windows 7, the preview pane was immediate and crisp. Windows 10, however, the preview pane takes (literally) over a full second to populate, during which time you also cannot click or down arrow to the next file until it displays. I've duplicated this issue on multiple PC's. The thumbnails show immediately, but the preview pane seems to have to actually load each file--every time. Even bouncing back and forth between two files takes over…
