Acrobat Reader DC Blocks Application Menu and Closing When Unauthenticated Mac OS X
I've found in using Acrobat Reader DC with an account for Mac OS X that when you open the application and are prompted for a password, you cannot click the Quit option (among others) in the application menu in the toolbar nor can you click the red X button in the upper left of the main application. You can't even close out Reader by right clicking in the dock and selecting Quit, something about the authentication form completely blocks other interaction with the application. Neither can you click the X in the authentication form. It is active, which is very misleading as it does nothing.
I've found that if I open Reader and haven't authenticated in a while, my only options to get the window out of the way are to authenticate or to completely reboot my computer. I could possibly use the Terminal to force-kill the application, but I really don't feel like authentication should be this hard of a block on being able to manage the processes running on my local computer.
My environment is as follows:
OS: Mac OS X Big Sur 11.0.1
Arch: Intel (x86_64)
Adobe Reader DC: 2020.013.20064I was going to try and sign out and back in to get some screenshots of what I mean, but I couldn't actually find a way to trigger this "unauthenticated" state in which the application requires credentials to interact period. It just seems to happen at random that I'm unauthenticated again and have to navigate this issue to get use of my Desktop again.

Bug: Reader DC v20.012.20041 crashing on open for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2
Serveral users in different environments having issues with the August 2020 update. Reader DC no longer works to open PDFs. Uninstall and Reinstall, and repair have not fixed the issue. Issue exists on Windows 8.1 systems and Windows Server 2012 R2. Issue occurs when attempting to open PDFs. On some uninstall and reinstall, tests of opening PDFs are successful, and then start failing again.

Adobe Reader Extension
Hi Team,
We are designing Dynamic Forms using adobe LiveCycle Designer which fetch the data from server - az18w1445 (where we have stored .xls files about users information).
To Fetch the data from the required server we used to access the site - http://ie3bvwitss347:8080/ReaderExtensions/Welcome?ap=1which is dependent on flash. Can't we access the adobe reader extension without flash. Do we have any aletrnative to fetch and automatically fill the the data into forms.2 votes -
Search Issue
Just wanted to report a "problem"? When searching through a LONG document (over
12000 pages), Reader DC gets confused and instead searches for just the first word in a search string (with multiple
words). Once you start the search, it will hang up and eventually return when it finds the first word in the entered search
string. If you then reposition back to the start of the document, you can then search for your entered multi-word search
string and successfully find it.2 votes -
Allow the clicking of the mouse wheel to enable scrolling via the mouse.
With all the programs I have tested I can click my mouse wheel and enable scrolling by moving my mouse. With Adobe Reader when I click the mouse wheel a hand icon appears with four arrows. As long as I hold the mouse wheel down I can scroll the document. What I am asking for is that the program have the feature so that I can release the mouse wheel and be able to scroll. With other programs this works until I depress a button, move the mouse wheel, or click the mouse wheel which resets the mouse scroll.

Web-Search option back to browser PDF-viewer right-click menu
I have to work with PDFs a lot and I have to deal with them via browser. For the past years I haven't had any problems with using the browser PDF-viewer, but as of recently the option to do a quick google search in a new tab when highlighting text within a document and right-clicking on it is no longer available. There is 'copy', 'print', 'rotate', 'save as' but not the 'search the web for [highlighted text]' which was so very helpful and useful for me. Please, consider making it available again since I can hardly imagine how anyone would benefit from removing this feature.

Fraction line disappears with High-contrast colors (Kind of Dark Mode)
In a pdf containing fractions, the line that separates numerator and denominator is not visible with High-constrast colors on, even if you zoom in. Tried with "White text on black" option

Can not add Thai comment
This current version of Adobe Reader can not add a Thai language comment. When I start typing, it freezes a bit and terminates. It happens every time.

I miss an option to reload/refresh PDF document
I have problem when PDF document is stored at network drive and my notebook has temporary problem with WiFi. Or when notebook is suspended and later resumed, network drive is not accessible for some time (I have to reconnect it manually). In such cases I see many blank pages in PDF file that was opened in the past (new pages are not read from the file). I have to close document and open it again. That is not nice and I believe that "refresh/reload" function will fix this problem. It is possible to find similar requests in the forums on Internet.
Other use is for users who create their own PDF files, like printing to PDF file, so PDF file is changing on their drive.

I bought a computer ,I pay to use the internet . I can't read a news item without paying .
The computer is useless as it's xp. I get advertising all the time. I will soon have to pay to see the screen . billionaires squeeze you dry. How much more do these big companies want. Why don't they REDUCE THEIR PRICES. instead of giving billions to charity.
WHAT ABOUT us. ? Oh of course you're too busy isolating on your Abu Darbi island.1 vote -

implement proper Arabic RTL support for fill and sign tool
First of the all it's not an IDEA it's a bug. As of the latest version (20.12.20048) Arabic RTL is broken; Even though letters are coming in the right order, they are disconnected. For Hebrew it should be okay since Hebrew letters are not connected.

Unable to terminate shared links to document. security risk
When sharing a document, there is no ability to terminate the shared link, so it stays available forever
This is high security risk
I will likely have to close my bank account now
Please add feature to terminate shared document links for security reasons

Need to test and support Adobe Reader DC on Amazon Workspaces
Please look into testing and supporting Adobe Reader DC (as well as Acrobat DC) on an Amazon Workspace. We use AWS with a good number of our user population and need to be able to get support with this environment. With DC being a cloud based system, I would expect that virtual workstations would be a supported environment. It is all in the "cloud."

Version 2019 of Reader has display issues that you don't see in 2020 or Pro
A client organisation (and I imagine many, many other people) are running on version 2019 of Reader.
Unfortunately v2019 has display issues and can add what look like black or yellow felt tip dots and lines at areas where effects overlap.
They are not seen in Pro or in v2020 or in v2015 of Reader. Just v2019. So what we see in our pdfs, is not what our clients or their audience might be seeing. So every user of Adobe CC is exposed. Our work might not look the way we intend if a viewer is using v2019of Reader. And I can imagine that is most people. So as a design community and Adobe CC client base, we can't be confident that our work is being seen without problems ... which damages our credibility and leads to exasperating conversations because we don't see the issues our clients are asking us to correct.
We as a design community need to know about the issue so that we can at least know about if a client request doesn't make sense.
Bit it also means that our work might be viewed in a way that looks unprofessional and messy and it's because of something beyond our control – a version of reader with a glitch.

The download site seems suspicious. The use of Times Roman made me think it was a fake site and made me very reluctant to download and insta
Standardise the appearance to match the rest of the Adobe family.
The Step 1 Operating System list is hard to understand and I battled to find my Mac OS. The install took ages and has now hung twice without managing to install. Overall, the experience is unsettling and worrying.1 vote
