share
Option to disable "Share" and "Sign in" buttons.
"Share" is an obvious distraction when trying to read PDFs, since it's a bright blue call-to-action.

A dictionary (online/offline) feature
I read a lot of research articles. And, I am pretty sure we all know how academic jargon can be exacerbated sometimes. Having an offline/online dictionary would be a great deal. Imagine if I can just double click/tap on a word and then the definition pops up! It can be a pain to switch from the Reader to a Browser at times for a definition.

Make Acrobat Reader to reopen all documents previously opened before
Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!
3 votesHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.
We already have it implemented in Reader.
Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.Hope this helps.
Thanks

Certificates Digitally Sign
Ability to change the color of your signature in the Windows Digital ID. i.e. Color of Font is set to BLACK - would be nice to change to Blue, Red, etc....

Group opened pdfs in sessions
Create a session that gives an ability to group opened pdfs and save them like collections in browsers. Later, when you reopen your acrobat reader you can choose between different sessions to use.

Allow ctrl+backspace in comments/text function
It sounds trivial, but for (probably!) millions of students, we often take notes in lectures by typing directly on the slide. Unfortunately, you can't quickly remove wrong typing by hitting control+backspace, which, if you're keeping up with a lecture, is a right pain. I'm a fast typist, but even I struggle to keep up when I have to repeatedly hit backspace to remove things, letter by letter. Often, keeping up with a lecture requires the removal of several words as lecturers often substantially rephrase what they've just said - it's not many words when you're speaking, but it is when you're typing. It is a very useful function! I'm not an expert on coding, but this seems to be a very small change and one that works elsewhere in most word processing programs, and it would be so very helpful here! To clarify, you cannot remove words quickly like this in two functions: Add Text Comment, and Add Text Box. It works in Add Sticky Note, but that doesn't allow ready reading of the comments on the slide, they're separate, and reading online requires you to constantly hover, which is no use for those revising or seeing what they've written, in this context. I'm sure it would be useful for many other users too, and its presence doesn't do any harm. Pretty please? LOL

Make Find results more predictable
In a large PDF when using Find to search for a word followed by a number, the results are unpredictable. This problem is observed in several large PDF files prepared by different people on different PCs. For example, the text contains “Test 1” and “Test 2”. Searching for Test 1 also finds Test 2.

Radiobutton checked value bug: works in all pdf viewers except Acrobat Reader.
"Checked" radiobutton value is only working in Acrobat Reader when:
— First radio button value is "0".
— Radio button values are consecutive integers.https://github.com/danfickle/openhtmltopdf/issues/547 — here I spent several hours to identify this issue.
Here is this post with the layout — https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/radiobutton-checked-value-bug-works-in-all-pdf-viewers-except-acrobat-reader/m-p/11410081?page=1#M70273

Magazine leisure view
Likely to mac Preview, create a Xamp C++ feature that slideshows a presentation in 2 or 4 pages per frame substituing 5s /5s or custom in fullscreen mode that is good for distract reading on Wired, Paris Review, Entertainment Weekly and a myriad more good magazines. Slideshow preview is a trend now in a world where content creation and visuals are ruling the design ecosystem. After Adobe Max conference, I think this feature is a great idea, be sure it enters winning a gold medal and a #1 position on podium for public general disposition and magazine editors worldwide.

Issue with Adobe reader in Originate loans (DLO- Fiserv)
Originate loans (OL) is a .Net based Digital loan origination solution suite
The software uses active PDF documents for form generation on loan applications
The editable PDF documents containing mapped PDF fields are uploaded into the software and these documents (forms) are populated with loan application data from the software.
The filled forms are stored in DB in encoded varbinary format.
The application UI presents links to each document on a loan app.
On clicking this link, the document is opened in a PDF viewer. (varbinary stream is decoded and response is flushed by the app to IE PDF viewer)
A major OL client is currently facing issues with rendering of these documents in the PDF viewer in IE.
When multiple documents are opened on client machine, or attempted to edit, it is observed that the document window stalls and freezes.
The document window and app are then required to close from the task manager.
In this scenario, the CPU usage of client machine is observed to peak.
The application DB call to fetch the document and the code for pushing out the stream in PDF viewer does not show any discrepancies.
This functionality works without an issue on development machines and servers. The issue is inherent to client machines.
There are no console errors or event logs observed for this document freeze.
During troubleshooting, it was found that unchecking the ‘enable protected mode on startup’ setting from Security(enhanced) for adobe reader improves this behavior. We are looking forward to
Adobe support to identify the root cause of this issue.
Fix for the issue.
Understand the impact and implication of enabling/disabling the security setting.P.S. OL is a Fiserv Product. Fiserv is a licences consumer of Adobe product.

No confirmation or undo when deleting signature
1) Have a Signature
2) Click the Sign button
3) Click the little minus button next to your signature
4) The signature is immediately and irrevocably deleted. This also works for Initials.
Need a confirmation window, or the ability to undo the deletion.
If I didn't have a scanner handy after accidentally doing this, I would be royally screwed right now.
(I have not investigated whether this behavior is configurable, but even having this as a default setting seems like a very bad idea)

BUG: xfa.host.messageBox() fails on forms embedded in IE 11
Reader DC v2020.012.20048
Windows 10 10.0.19042 Build 19042, IE 11.572.19041PDFs embeddd in IE 11, or using the "Preview PDF" tab in Livecycle designer, no longer show user dialogs triggered using "xha.host.messageBox" or "app.alert". Other "xfa.host" functions still return data. When opening the PDF 'stand alone' everything works as expected.
Here's an simple example form. The button should show two message dialogs as well as information in a text box. Interestingly the code continues to execute after the calls to xfa.host.messageBox and app.alert, and the text box is correctly populated.

I have used the Acrobat DC removal tool and re-installed Acrobat.
These builds of Windows and IE 11 work:

10.0.18362 Build 18362, IE 11.1139.18362These ones fail:
10.0.19041 Build 19041, IE 11.572.19041
