    Hi Nikki,

Can you please share few more details to help us identify the root cause
    1. Can you please share the exact version of Acrobat installed on your machine. You can get the version from Adobe Acrobat->About Adobe Acrobat
    1. Do you encounter this every time system starts up?
    2. Do you have creative cloud app installed as well and have you signed in the app?
    3. Do you see Acrobat in full UI or only in the dock?
    4. The Acrobat icon in the dock stays or it goes away automatically after few seconds?

    Regards,
    Rohit

    Hi Diane,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Text box and Text Callout are two different types of commenting tools. Text call-out has a text box along with and arrow.
Looks like you are using Text callout instead of Text box.

    To confirm follow steps below:
    - Please right click on the text box and click on properties
    - Properties dialog will appear
    - Check for dialog title whether it is "Callout properties" or "Text box"

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks,
    Rohit

Thank you for sharing your concern.
You can customize your toolbar to contain commenting and other tools. Please follow steps below

Step1: Open any pdf and right click on top toolbar(just above the pdf content)
Step2: Click on "Customize Quick Tools"
Step3: A new Customize quick tools windows appears.
Step4: Select the desired tools from "Choose tools to add" section
Step5: Select the individual tool from different categories
Step6: After selecting the tool click on "Up arrow" on right side of window
Step7: After adding the tool click on Save

Once you have added the tools in toolbar you can directly use them from toolbar.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Rohit

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting Adobe.
We are unable to reproduce this issue at our end. Please share the crash log to help us track the issue better.
You can share the same @ cloud.acrobat.com and provide me with the link.

Meanwhile you can apply the latest update (via app help->check for updates) on both Acrobat and Reader and check whether you are still facing this crash.

    Regards,
    Adobe Acrobat Team
