  1. Compare PDF report wildly wrong

    1. The compare PDF feature does not work correctly for comparing two PDFs in which the only changes were edits to a table in InDesign. Almost every element on the newer PDF has been flagged as changed. The flagged notes show that Acrobat is comparing the wrong components to one another.

    The two compared PDFs originated from the same InDesign file, and created with the same PDF presets.

    Compare settings were tested set to both "autodetect" and "reports, spreadsheets, magazine layouts"; Show in report set to "Text" only.

  2. Request: Option to lock Quick Tools (disable drag reordering)

    Requesting an option to disable drag reordering Quick Tools, maybe in the right click menu or Customize Quick Tools window. With a stylus it's way too easy to accidentally reorder Quick Tools while trying to select a tool.

  3. Combining photographs into a binder document - Urgent

    This is a bug report. Adobe will not let me combine photographs that have been converted to PDF into one document so they can be Bates numbered. I get an error message that says Adobe encountered an unknown error and it will not combine the photographs. Help please!! I work for a law firm and am trying to produce these photographs in our discovery responses!!

  4. Every time I start Acrobat 11 Pro, all customisations are gone

    I lost customisation every tim I open Acrobat. Can you help me with this?

  5. Comparing two files - crashes immediately

    1. Open Acrobat Pro DC.
    2. Open file A.pdf
    3. Open file B.pdf
    4. Under Tools, select 'Compare Files'.
    5. Click the 'Compare' button.
    6. Acrobat DC Pro crashes.

    This is on a Mac Pro with macOS 10.13.6

  6. need to be able to have a link open a 2nd new window so reader can keep their place in original location

    I publish gov't docs for public review. For reasons too boring to explain, I now have to put the figures that go with the text in an appendix way at the end of the pdf and not just on the next page where they are referenced in the text. So now the figures are at the end of the pdf. I want to Acrobat to add a feature that would open a new window for a link within one pdf. This would allow the public to clink on a link to a figure, open the figure in a separate window…

  7. Remove size dimension restrictions on PDFs!

    Why is there a size restriction on PDF dimensions?
    I have a fairly simple outdoor sign created in InDesign at 234" wide and when I make it into a pdf it is cut off.
    Very annoying! It certainly has nothing to do with file size as the cut off PDF is less than 100K!!

  9. Combine Files Chokes on Pages with Images

    I frequently combine PDFs into one report document, and lately when I go to add footers, headers, and/or watermarks, I get an error message "An error was encountered while retrieving page content." I have to convert the entire file to .ps, THEN back to PDF, before I can add my page numbers, etc. This never used to happen. Please fix it!!

  10. Read aloud feature reads chaper numbers as calendar dates

    Adobe Read out loud feature is reading some section and figure numbers as a date. It only seems to happen where the number has a format of 3 digits, separated by a decimal, and where the 3rd digit is greater or equal to 10. For example, 3.2.11 is read “March Second, Eleven” and 4.4.10 is read “April Fourth, Ten”. I’m assuming it is a setting in Adobe somewhere, since it is doing it for text within the document as well, not just figure numbers or alt text from images. There was nothing odd about the text from the word versions…

  11. Size Matters

    When opening a PDF it does not need to be 134% size. I've set the view to 75% and the files still open at 109%

  12. IT SUCKS

    Everything about this Adobe DC SUCKS! I hate it! I want the old Pro back! Things that I could do with one click, now take 3 clicks. My job now takes longer because of this program. It's absolutely ridiculous. Bring back the old Adobe Pro and get rid of whatever this **** is.

  13. Adobe sucks... I bought an ebook to download to my phone... I ha ve wasted hrs trying to see my ebook... it should not be this complicated

    I still don't have access to ebook... adobe gives u many options but not a straight forward option

  16. [idea] Option of capping the brightness to avoid visual fatigue

    Change the background color of a pdf even if there is a background image to avoid visual fatigue or a option of capping the brigntness to avoid changing screen settings

  17. Please bring back 'insert pages' the way it used to be.

    'Combine Files' doesn't combine. It creates 2 tabs, and that's not what I need. I need a single scrolling file of multiple pages. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. This new version is not intuitive or user friendly. It's visually ugly. There's too much clicking around to find the different tools that you need. Due to the weird organization, I'm wasting time trying to figure out how to get what I need. It's not efficient. Frankly, I hate everything about it.

  18. Save as Adobe PDF - Created PDF flickers open, then closes

    Hello,

    For certain documents, the "Save as Adobe PDF" option within Word 2016 is not usable. The all of the export steps appear to complete, and the resulting PDF file flickers on-screen and then closes. No file is actually saved.

    I have confirmed this an issue with the following:

    Microsoft Office 2016 Version 1803 (Build 9126.2275 Click-to-Run)

    Adobe Acrobat 2015 Standard (15.006.304488)

  19. Blank screen when opening a PDF

    When i try to open a PDF it just pulls up a blank screen within Acrobat. i have to close out and reopen it numerous times before i can actually view the PDF! HELP?!

  20. Turn the Adobe Scan app pop-up advertising off.

    Adobe Scan app advert pops open every time I open a new set of files. I was working on combining many file groups all afternoon and had to stop and close your advertising 6-8 times. The worst part is that I downloaded the app after the first time, so it is unnecessary in every way as well as annoying and a waste of my time.
