Adobe is frankly the most annoying and difficult to use free software. Among the key problems are:
1. When I click to download a PDF it automatically opens in Adobe; I am then unable to do anything with the file (eg change its name. move it to another folder) without closing it in Adobe
2. At the slightest provocation Adobe will ask if I want to amend the file, and if I say yes it will allow me to go two or three steps down the road (eg add an apostrophe then at the last minute will say - you need to upgrade to Adobe plus" or some such. This is tantamount to misleading, is very annoying and time-wasting, and leaves me feeling dirty and exploited.
3. On my phone, when I click to open a Word document, it defaults to opening in Adobe (except it won't as it wants payment, see above. I cannot find out how to stop this, even though I subscribe to Microsoft 365
