A dictionary (online/offline) feature
I read a lot of research articles. And, I am pretty sure we all know how academic jargon can be exacerbated sometimes. Having an offline/online dictionary would be a great deal. Imagine if I can just double click/tap on a word and then the definition pops up! It can be a pain to switch from the Reader to a Browser at times for a definition.

Make Find results more predictable
In a large PDF when using Find to search for a word followed by a number, the results are unpredictable. This problem is observed in several large PDF files prepared by different people on different PCs. For example, the text contains “Test 1” and “Test 2”. Searching for Test 1 also finds Test 2.

By default, Snapshot should produce higher-resolution images
The default resolution is too low in Edit, Preferences, General, Use fixed resolution for Snapshot tool images. The resolution should be fixed at a higher value, at least 300 ppi.

Make continuous scrolling the default, PLEASE!!!
I’m still baffled that the default scrolling for pages in Adobe Reader has the reader smoothly scrolling down the page, bringing the text up to eye level (no one reads down a page any more unless it’s a physical book) only to have it jump to the top of the next page as soon as the bottom of the page is in view on the screen. This results in interrupted reading and endless and annoying backwards scrolling to get back to where the reader was. I know this can be changed in the settings, but why isn’t it the default?…

Magazine leisure view
Likely to mac Preview, create a Xamp C++ feature that slideshows a presentation in 2 or 4 pages per frame substituing 5s /5s or custom in fullscreen mode that is good for distract reading on Wired, Paris Review, Entertainment Weekly and a myriad more good magazines. Slideshow preview is a trend now in a world where content creation and visuals are ruling the design ecosystem. After Adobe Max conference, I think this feature is a great idea, be sure it enters winning a gold medal and a #1 position on podium for public general disposition and magazine editors worldwide.

My Android Reader can invert the display (white text on dark BG). Can the Desktop app do the same, easy on the eyes?
In mobile Reader App, I can change the display to Night Mode (inverted color, white text on dark BG). Can I do the same in desktop Acrobat DC?
Please make it so.3 votes -
Bug in window resize if view has been rotated
Acrobat reader DC. Windows 7 x64 desktop.
Load a PDF (in my case some A1 building plans) into reader.
Rotate view 90 degrees.
Now re-size the reader application window by grabbing left or right edge.
You will see the bug - can't really miss it. Document suddenly reverts 90 degress and stretches then rotates back when you let go.
Not fatal, just unsightly.1 vote -
I miss an option to reload/refresh PDF document
I have problem when PDF document is stored at network drive and my notebook has temporary problem with WiFi. Or when notebook is suspended and later resumed, network drive is not accessible for some time (I have to reconnect it manually). In such cases I see many blank pages in PDF file that was opened in the past (new pages are not read from the file). I have to close document and open it again. That is not nice and I believe that "refresh/reload" function will fix this problem. It is possible to find similar requests in the forums on…

One button is too bad.
Dear sir/madam,
I use a lot of PDF files for my job. However, the version I use is 2015.020.20039. Because in recent releases, the buttons "Fit to window width and enable scrolling", "Fit one full page to window" and "View file in read mode" have been turned into one button. I have to open this button on every time. This is an extremely difficult use. Please give us the option of these buttons as single buttons as before. Thank you so much.

Allow the Menu bar (F9) and toolbars (F8) to be hidden permanently
SUGGESTION
With the current version (2020.006.20034), these can be hidden but for the current session only. Put an option in settings to hide these interface elements globally.WHY THE FEATURE IS NEEDED
To maximize vertical screen real-estate; as most of the devices these days are shipping with widescreen displays.7 votes -
Have the feature to change the navigation pane from the left side to the right side of the screen.
The idea is to be able to change the position of the navigation pane from
the left side to the the right side of the screen. This would be useful when making presentations and using the thumbnail view to advance pages forward instead of scrolling which can sometimes be difficult to control.

add copy link location to adobe reader DC
(i guess someone asked long time ago. but seems buried alive)
add "copy link location" to adobe reader DC, when right click over a link in a pdf.
why? this is a standard feature in most 2020 windows applicatoin. if adobe does not do it, i go somewhere else. adobe reader dc is not the only pdf reader in the world.1 vote -
Ctrl home displays hidden side bar & bookmark bar - MOST ANNOYING
It is already extremely annoying to hide elements in Acrobat.
For reasons only known to your idiot design team, you persist in the view that the UI MUST BE RESET ON EVERY DOCUMENT LOAD.
I read > 30 PDFs in a DAY. FOR EVERY ONE, I have to hide elements of the UI (typically the left side). EVERY F*** PDF.
Today I find that hitting Ctrl-Home re-displays the full left bar.
WHY.
WHO THINKS THIS IS A GREAT IDEA - Lets re-purpose a standard document navigation key into a UI state change.

Allow opening several PDFs in several windows - not in tabs - by default.
I know that a lot of programs are switching towards a tab-based structure when opening several files at a time. But it sometimes is very handy to be able to open several PDFs in several windows. I know that this is possible by rightclicking the file etc., but I miss a setting that opens PDFs be default in a new window - and not in a new tab.
Can there be some kind of "setting" that says:
O - open PDFs in new tabs
X - open PDFs in new windows1 vote -
Remove the extra step of saving
Since using Adobe Reader DC for PC, the last few updates have only increased the number of clicks required to do basic tasks. When saving a document, with either the CTRL + S key press or selecting Save from the file tree, there doesn't seem to be any necessity to have the window attached pop up. It's a similar feature to Office programs now, and really only makes the process take longer. Clicking on Choose a Different Folder just brings up the same save options we had in the past. This just creates more steps and wastes time.

BUG: Can no longer close Reader window with COMMAND-W
Until recently, you could close the Adobe Reader window (the one showing Recent, Starred, Scans, etc down the left side) with COMMAND-W. While you can still use COMMAND-W to close a PDF file, inexplicably this function no longer works with the Adobe Reader window. In workflow this is ridiculously annoying; I hit COMMAND-W to close my PDF window but then I have to go hunting for the CLOSE button to click on for the Adobe Reader window. At least, I am assuming this is a bug; I can't imagine someone purposefully enabling this highly obnoxious and laborious "feature" into the…

4 pages view
should have more pages view example 4 or 6 pages per view as some users use big screen and they can easily fit them using this feature instead of trying to use the zoom function.
and perhaps to make the toolbar icons fit exactly and not have so much borders size1 vote
