Ability to completely turn off collapsed sidebars
Please for goodness' sake give users the option to completely remove the left and right sidebars instead of merely collapsing them. For users using Reader, the vast majority of the time all they will want to do is only read a PDF, and many will want as much screen space as possible to do so.
For the average Reader user, in the left toolbar the only thing they may want is thumbnail or chapter view. This could be on the top toolbar, with the other options available on a drop down menu from that button if you really must keep them there. The right toolbar, meanwhile, is completely redundant with the "Tools" pane. Being made up of options for creating and editing, these merely get in the way for Reader users who just want to read. The collapsed bar can easily be clicked mistakenly when attempting to scroll, and when a PDF hides the scrollbar (which there doesn't seem to be an easy way to either disable or re-enable), the collapsed bar will likely be mistaken for the scrollbar period.
I understand that these are considered 'features', but for many users they are merely an inconvenience. In many, many other programs, side toolbars are dockable and can be moved or closed. There are so many other options on how it could've been implemented that aren't so aggravating. Please either use one, or give users the option to completely disable them.

this.media and this.pageWindowRect undefined intermittently
I am using the Adobe Reader Javascript API and trying to access the
this.pageWindowRect
variable. I've found from various forum posts that this has to be 'enabled' by accessingthis.media
first. This works most of the time, but intermittently on certain computers, I find that both
this.media
andthis.pageWindowRect
are undefined. It is difficult to reproduce this exactly: sometimes it seems to work fine, and sometimes they seem to stay undefined. I've tried delaying my code - in case things are taking a while to load - and running the code from a document-level script, a button, and the console. It all seems to work intermittently.
The attached file has a timer running in the document-level JS, which prints out the value of these variables every few seconds for a couple of minutes (in case the initialisation is delayed). On most computers this seems to work fine, but on some computers both variables return 'undefined' for the entire period the code is running.
Any support or advice would be much appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
1) Have you applied a latest patch of Win10-2004 after which you are facing this issue ?2) Could you confirm me the current version of Acrobat Reader DC that you have ?
3) Could you please do Help → Repair Installation and see if it fixes the issue ?
4) Could you please share a Screen Recording video of the issue that you face at ajain@adobe.com ?
Thanks

F2 should not open web help
The key to open help is F1. It should not also be F2. I was using F2 for Discord/Push-to-talk, and now Acrobat Reader DC opens a web page every time.
Please restore the behaviour of the previous version of Acrobat Reader DC.

add copy link location to adobe reader DC
(i guess someone asked long time ago. but seems buried alive)
add "copy link location" to adobe reader DC, when right click over a link in a pdf.
why? this is a standard feature in most 2020 windows applicatoin. if adobe does not do it, i go somewhere else. adobe reader dc is not the only pdf reader in the world.1 vote -
Reader DC freezes after some seconds
I installed the latest version Reader DC on a Windows 7 64-bit pc, fater the old version freezed after some seconds. But the result is always the same, the new installation always freeze after few seconds.
I tryed a new installation from scratch, restarted many times, disinstalled DC some times, used the Acrobat Cleaner tool, tryed to correct the installation, but nothing worked, DC always freezes and I have to kill it.
The dump files below were collected at the same time (there were two AcroRd32.exe processes running at the same time, I do not know if this is normal).1 vote -
BUG: Adobe AR DC 2020.009.20074 - Inconsistent Error Converting PDF to Excel
Windows Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.009.20074 inconsistently fails to convert our PDF data to a viable Excel file. When it fails instead of creating an All-Borders grid around the data, it will create a Picture of the border box and clump the data together in a jumble below.
As we use macro's to manipulate the converted data, this obviously presents a problem to us.
We have captured some files during the conversion process, and made a Word conversion of our data to check it - and what we found makes us wonder where this may be coming from.
Process Step:
- Download PDF file form company server
- Open in Adobe AR DC and convert to Excel
- Save excel file and use as basis for data shapingPlease refer to the attached files.
1.Raymers07212020SourceFile
2.Raymers07212020BadPDFtoExcelConversion (example)
3.Raymers07212020ShowingPossibleFrameError
4. Raymers07212020screen_capture (highlighted format mark)This is causing delays in our data shaping process and we presently cannot narrow this down enough to catch in the macro process.
Can you advise?

Bug: explorer window shadows disappear after opening Acrobat Reader DC
After opening Acrobat Reader DC (in a windowed mode, not in tabbed), it, for some mysterious reason, switches off the Windows 10 Explorer setting for windows to cast shadows. It results in focused folder windows becoming visually borderless, making it very difficult to work with them.
The problem was described here for Acrobat DC:
https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/38822896-bug-shadows-disappear-on-windows-10-explorer-wind
but it fully (and even more irritably) applies to Acrobat Reader DC, too.It seems that for some reason, Acrobat Reader changes (switches off) each time the inherent Windows setting which can be found in System > Visual Effects tab > Show shadows under windows checkbox.
The problem persist already for a long time, please fix it!

show list of text higlighted
Please, make a side tool to show list of text higlighted ( when we can read the text highlighted too ). it would be great if this list was ordered by pages and show page and chapter.
This option would permit me study better documents with highlighted text and comments... it would be perfect.

Linux support via wine
I like all adobe products but I don't like the fact that to use them I should use Windows or Mac. I understand supporting Linux is a huge work but for something as small as acrobat reader it is possible with little effort.
It is possible to install acrobat reader on Linux via wine. I suggest packaging acrobat reader with wine and distributing it to Linux.

BUG: Can no longer close Reader window with COMMAND-W
Until recently, you could close the Adobe Reader window (the one showing Recent, Starred, Scans, etc down the left side) with COMMAND-W. While you can still use COMMAND-W to close a PDF file, inexplicably this function no longer works with the Adobe Reader window. In workflow this is ridiculously annoying; I hit COMMAND-W to close my PDF window but then I have to go hunting for the CLOSE button to click on for the Adobe Reader window. At least, I am assuming this is a bug; I can't imagine someone purposefully enabling this highly obnoxious and laborious "feature" into the product.

4 pages view
should have more pages view example 4 or 6 pages per view as some users use big screen and they can easily fit them using this feature instead of trying to use the zoom function.

First radio button value is "0". Radio button values are consecutive integers.
