Please retain prefill stage for e-sign templates
The only reason I use Adobe Acrobat is for it's ability to prefill template forms that I've previously set up. The new edit option does not allow me to work in "prefill" mode anymore, for example I can not tab from one space to the next. PLEASE bring back the prefill option for the new format. I will not use your product anymore if you don't and the only reason I'm still using it is that I can switch back to the legacy version. There needs to be a stage where you are not only editing the types of data and fields entered but a stage where you can separately tab through and fill the necessary fields. Right now I need to click on each individual field and it would be faster to just do this in a word doc, which to me was the entire point of having templates before. The additional document upload feature is also VERY slow now. Before I could easily add everything I needed in one place and it now takes so long it's useless.
Hi Erin,
We understand you're experiencing issues with this version of Acrobat Web. However, it's worth mentioning that it's possible to fill in fields before sending the agreement for signature using the Prefill Role. Below are the steps to do so:
- Start Request E-Signatures with any valid document.
- In the window to add recipients, do not add yourself; this will allow you to use the prefill role.
- Click continue.
- In the Authoring view, add the fields you need to fill in before sending the agreement and assign them the Prefill role.
This way, when you click "Review and Send" and send the agreement for signing, you'll be able to pre-fill the designated fields.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further question
