GOMS efficency in reviewing documents
I do a lot of reviewing of documents (I'm a lecturer in a college). In the old version of acrobat, I could (for example) select text and delete using the keyboard. Now I have to select text, move to the mouse, hit the right key, and select the menu item 'strikethrough'. This is a much more extensive interaction that takes a lot of extra time when you have a 200 page 1st draft thesis in front of you for example, that might need 20 such interactions per page. GOMs theory backs that me up here. Am I missing something: is there a way to unlock the old interaction mechanism (I'm on Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017), because its not just strikethrough: replacing text used be a whole lot less interaction too? Id not, can I suggest you go back to the old less-GUI-but-much-more-effective approach?
