  1. Please dock the toolbar to the side at all times. I do like the new toolbar, but it blocks text on the PDFs, meaning I have to take the time to pan and zoom and adjust just to read what it is blocking, it's just unnecessary. Just have it docked always. Also, I will say I'm not the biggest fan of how the thumbnails are shown, but that's a different and much less important issue. The new "floating" toolbar (that you cannot move) obstructs the documents and should just be docked to the side so you can see an unobstructed…

  2. As of version (mac) 23.6.20320.0, the vertical scroll bars were removed, as confirmed by your support team.

Why oh why? This breaks workflows. Please add them back, or minimally add a preference to enable them.

(Note that they sometimes appear temporarily, but then disappear.)

  3. Hello:

I would really appreciate if the Adobe team would consider implementing either the ability to allow custom keyboard shortcuts or assign default keyboard shortcuts (i.e., hotkeys) to shortcuts on the toolbar.

If the second option to map hotkeys to toolbar shortcuts is implemented, I would really appreciate if by pressing the Alt key I could bring up a display of all shortcuts available. For example, please see the Microsoft Word image: if I press the Alt key, it displays all available keyboard shortcuts.

The reason for my request is that I have the "Take snapshot" option added to the…

  4. I could vote for several of the bugs, but none that I saw reference the work-around.

The first basic (Control-F) text-search in a given session will fail to find hits. However, the 2nd and subsequent attempts will find hits.

Accordingly, my current workflow is to treat the first text-search attempt as a "throw-away" - I "escape" from that dialog, invoke it again... and then the search works.

It's been this way for years. It's a sad experience for users who try a single search, fail, and don't understand the workaround.

  8. Worst interface change ever! I am in the print graphics industry and I rely heavily on the ability to view my PDF page sizes. Removing the page scaling size from the toolbar along with a place to shortcut my most used tools was a slap in the face to your core user base.

    Leave those features alone!

  9. The new viewer tools menu is terrible design. I dont want a 4 in bar on my left side constantly when i want to use the stamp function for 100's of documents. There is an almost empty top bar to put tools of your choice up there. Being able to just lock the icon for the tool you want to use to your top bar should be easy right? While having it to search for tools and being able to read everything is fine but, who organized the menu? There is a general "priority" to common used to less common…

  10. Revert to previous edition - this is sluggish & cumbersome - bloatware at it's worst - does nothing whatsoever to enhance the product - a jobsworth production

  11. When I view a document in Acrobat Reader, I always want a standard default, which is single page view, fill to height, disable scrolling. The trouble is, the application never remembers this; every time I open a document I have to repeat the same sequence of control interactions to set it up the way I want. This is an unproductive waste of my time which could be mitigated by either automatically remembering my display configuration or giving me a control by which I can manually tell the application to remember my configuration as a default.

  12. The new toolbar that hovers on top of the document obscures the reading area on certain devices (like laptops with smaller screens and netbooks) especially when the comments pane is open. It's bizarre to me that Adobe didn't account for different use cases before implementing something like this. It's like whoever made this change viewed their 4k monitor at 100% without ever zooming in and said, "Yeah, this is good. No reason to view this in any other way."

    Possible solutions.

    1. Ditch the floating toolbar altogether. It seems pointless to be able to move the toolbar to a different area…

  13. Please bring back the document page size in the lower left corner of the window. There's a preference for it but it's non-functional! I used to use this reference many times a day and now I have to go into doc properties to find it. Very frustrating!

  14. Last week's update was the worst of all (apart from the one to upgrade to the DC version). We work on macOS Ventura, Acrobat version 2023.006.20320. There's no scroll bar, you can't see your selections when you zoom in, it's like working blind. Pitstop tools are unusable. You have to cancel this update, go back. It's as if you don't care about the people who work with your applications, without taking their opinions into account. You never respond to feedback. Please cancel the last update!!!!

  15. Not able to select area for export to the clipboard despite the PDF file allows.
This is supposed to be a standard feature of any reader. However, adobe chose to simply make the reader an useless tool unless you really pay $.

  16. I have Acrobat Pro and used to have the setting "Remember current state of Tools pane" checked so the tool pane wouldn't open for every pdf I open. This setting went away a few months ago and it's really annoying to have to close the tools pane every time I open a document.

I rarely need in the tools pane and would prefer it to be hidden most of the time.

  17. In the new version, there is an empty pane on the left side that I cannot collapse. This makes it difficult when editing and trying to reference another document in the same screen. Overall, I don't really care for the new version. Please make it less awkward, Adobe.

  18. Acrobat Pro Version 2023.006.20320 Not showing document size in lower left. "Always show document page size" is on, but will not show. Other users reporting same bug. Also with this update scroll bars do not show up unless you begin to scroll with mouse touch and disappear quickly before you can grab. Both of these are problems with professional use of this software.

  19. The floating toolbar seems purposed for newer users. It would be helpful if the following was done with the floating toolbar.
    - Enable the toolbar to be transparent
    - Allow the toolbar to be docked on the right panel
    - Enable the toolbar to automatically minimize when not in use
    - Allow users to remove the default tools

A few features that are quite nice about the toolbar:
    - Contextual menus are immediately activated and brought into view once a tool is selected
    - Various related tools can be pinned to the floating toolbar
    - The toolbar can be moved…
