  1. Create PDF from multiple PDF files

When I create a binder Pdf from different pdf files, I cannot save the binder. It remains just stuck on the save window and nothing happens. How can this be solved? There are sites which only allow uploading of a single file, thus you need to be able to combine more files into one. Thanks for your prompt support.

  2. Create PDF Dropping Information

Create PDF Office add-in and function in Acrobat both drop sentences, bullet points, and headers when converting files. This is only happening to the subscription-based users in the office. The users with the Tech Comm suite version of Acrobat do not have this issue.

  3. Wrong interpretation of EPS / AI / SVG file when creating a PDF from Word.

See the attached files for more info, the dev team surely has more knowledge on the file structures than I do, and the parser for whatever format is involved.

I have an Illustrator file, created out of an old EPS one. Works fine in Illustrator and everything, exporting to PNG, for example, is no problem.

However if the drawing gets pasted in Word (365, 64-bit 16.0.14228.20288) and one tries to create a PDF out of it using the COM Add-in the drawing isn't interpreted correctly leading to a garbled mess.

Office's internal PDF exporter does a better job, but you…

  5. Bookmarks are not carried over from word if document is less than four pages

Links are not working after converting a Word document to a PDF. After much troubleshooting, the cause of the issue is the number of pages. Four or more pages works as expected, three or less does not.

To reproduce the issue, create a Table of Contents at the top of the document that links to the Headers of each section. Then Save As Adobe PDF. The expected result is that the Table of Contents will still contain links to the Headers of each section as bookmarks in the new PDF. The observed result is that the links are broken if…

  6. tables no longer export from Word doc to pdf without massive fail

When a table is exported from Word into Adobe pdf, tables are tagged incorrectly. To pass, very tedious fixes are needed. Please fix this bug.

  7. Incorrect PDF generated by Distiller

The joined file is a simple image JPEG which has been converted into PostScript with 'jpeg2ps'. The resulting PostScript file is only a wrapper around the JPEG file which is coded in ASCII85 inside. Acrobat Distiller 20.0 (Windows) converts into a blank file. However, it was correctly converted in Acrobat Distiller X and XI. It's also converted correctly by GhostScript. Remark: I have renamed the file image.txt because it was impossible to load a file with the extension ps. However, when changing the extension to ps, it's my file.

  8. Accessibility Errors with PDF Maker Update Sept 2021

Several major bugs have been documented by users in the Adobe Community Forums since Acrobat and PDF Maker were updated on September 14, 2021.

    They are:

1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017 This violates the PDF/UA-1 standard which requires that every graphic have alt-text that verbally describes the graphic.

THIS IS A HUGE BUG. You essentially have made Acrobat unusable for those who are required by their country's laws to make fully accessible PDFs.

2: Every cell border on every table cell is being…

    Hi,

Thank you for raising these accessibility issues. The post mentions about the following six bugs being introduced with the update that went live on September 14, 2021:

1: Alt-Text for images from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted.
2: Every cell border on every table cell is being tagged as P tag with PathPathPathPath
3: The underline on Hyperlinks should be tagged as artifacts
4: Borders and background shadings on Text Boxes are being tagged as a combination of Figure tags and PathPathPath
5: Paragraph borders and shadings: same deal as #4 above.Per the PDF/UA-1 standard, they are visually decorative and should be artifacted
6: Dragging and dropping elements in both the Tag and Order panels is now broken

Would like to mention that out of these, #1 and #6 were introduced with the Sep 14…

  9. Automate the combination of multiple images to PDF, and name the resulting PDF using the Folder's name.

I would like to be able to place images within a folder, then batch convert many folders to produce 1 PDF per folder. For example "FOLDER1" contains 10 jpges. I would like FOLDER1.pdf to be 10 pages, "FOLDER2" to be FOLDER2.pdf and so on.

  10. Crop tool selects outside the white work area

    for system information see system.txt
when i select the crop area against the gray border i get a black line in the print as if 2 a 3 pixel from outside the white work area are selected.
its imposable to eyeball a this because the print/pdf is 130cm x 400cm.
older versions never had this problem
for a photo please see https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/crop-tool-bug/m-p/12338038#M326132

  11. Text becomes corrupted when combining PDF documents

Text becomes corrupted when combining PDF documents.
I've seen many reports here stating the same problem but have been closed.

My text in my documents became corrupted when I combined a 141pg PDF full of drawings.
I performed the same operation in Nitro 10 - no problems whatsoever!

  12. Acrobat Pro Mac 2017 classic: Combined pages got mixed up (sometimes); Bug? - Acrobat Pro 2020 Mac is dead slow.

We use Acrobat Pro 2017 Classic on MacOS High Sierra. Before the school holidays, we bought a license for Acrobat Pro 2020 Classic that is installed on the same machine.

We mainly use Acrobat to OCR screenshots and combine them into one PDF. Such a PDF contains between 40 and 200 OCRed pages. Sometimes we use TIFF, sometimes we use PNG as source images that need to be "PDFed".

    The workflow is this:
1- Combine source images into one PDF in Acrobat Pro
2- Crop borders of each page in Acrobat
3- Export each page to a directory as a…

  14. Combine Files - Closing w/out Saving Alert

On older verisons of Acrobat, when triggering the combine files function, if you exited and closed the app without combining or saving the files it would give you an alert. On DC it does not and ive accidentally closed out of a ton of times where I'm half way through moving files around, combining and then accidentally close it and have to start all over. Should be an easy feature to re-add.

  15. When printing "Multiple", cannot edit margins in Page Setup

Bug: Cannot edit the margins when printing "Multiple" in Acrobat Pro.

    1. Open a PDF file in Acrobat Pro.
    2. Select Print>Adobe PDF.
    3. Select Multiple.
    4. (Set whatever settings you want, example: Custom 1 by 2.)
    5. Click Page Setup.
    6. The Margins are fixed at 1" and they are NOT editable.

Bug: The margins must be editable. There is too much wasted white space.

Refer to the attached screen shot with notations.

  20. How to remove the black village from scanners

If you are scanning a document, with many pages, you do not lower the scanner lid (to speed up scanning), but this causes a black stripe to form at the edges of the text. Now you can select the text and images excluding the black border; If you want to obtain a document with the same format, for example an A5 (without black borders) this is not possible with this program, because if you report it in A5 format, the black border is revised. It should be easy to delete the outside of the selection. Sincerely
