Please brighten the colors of the new sticky note "comment" shape
I don't know why you needed to change the shape, but in the process it has become a washed-out color, even at 100% opacity. This is a step backward.

Please change the highlighter back
The little doodad/pin that's now attached at upper left obscures other text.

Bug: Comments no longer hav distinct colors
Previously, delete/strikethrough was shown as red, replace was shown as blue, highlight as yellow, etc.
Now suddenly they are all the same red color so it becomes very hard to tell them apart.
(In the attached screenshot you can see comment, highlight, replace, and strikethrough/delete are all the same color).
This was likely a mistake/bug introduced in a recent update. It started happening in both Acrobat Pro and Reader, and makes commenting a lot more confusing.
We are currently on version 2024.003.20054 (of both Reader and Pro).A workaround is to manually have the user change the color before adding…

New version is confusing and annoying. Apparently more gadgets, but it doesn't even highlight or make comments in a pdf withour trying to sell you and buy the version, unfortunately there is a monopoly in documents in pdf. Another competition is necessary

Comment list not show all comments
In Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2024.002.20991, comments appear on the pages of a PDF, but some comments in the list don't get highlighted when clicked and don't show up in the list. This issue doesn't occur in the latest version of Adobe Reader or older versions of Adobe Acrobat Pro. Is there a way to revert to the previous behavior so that selecting a comment will highlight it and display the correspondence in the comment list, like in earlier versions of Acrobat Pro? This change in the software complicates our work, as we have to open in comment list to…

Feature Request: automatically make url links in comments clickable
I'd love if all versions of acrobat had the automatic function where if someone pastes a URL in a comment it is clickable.
I work in a studio that does a lot of product related designs and when the marketing team provides feedback they do so in a marked up pdf using comments (they often have little to no knowledge of how to do more complex things in acrobat so would not use "proper" ways to add links. We often get design feedback via comment markups and they might paste 6 links in a comment that I then have to…

Highlight "pencil case" - changing highlight color easily
In reading papers, I use multiple highlight colors simultaneously, yet changing colors demands too much clicks.
Currently, there are two ways of changing the color: 1) highlight using the previously used color, click on the highlight, click to change color; the next highlight will use this changed color by default. 2) using the property bar/highlighter tool properties, you click on the top-down menu, click to select a new color and then highlight. Both options requires two clicks.
Suppose the physical world: you have highlithers in multiple colors, and in one action you chose the color you want to use.

Make text boxes, callout boxes, drawing tools not sticky
All out comments are done with text boxes, text callout boxes, lines and arrows (as opposed to the sticky-note style comment). When we select any of those tools, they stay selected, i.e. when I draw a callout box and type, then click off of it, all I do is create yet another callout box. I have to click the arrow at the top of that pane to deselect it, then click AGAIN to manually move or resize my box. Previous Adobe version, did not "stick" when I selected a text box or callout box or an arrow or line from…

Comments as Components, not a Printing Extra -- Layout, Flow, Consistency
The comments feel like they were added on to the program as a "nice to have" and weren't truly integrated into the layout and design considerations of Acrobat. For example, shouldn't they be treated as another "layer"? Having the comments panel on the right hand side makes it feel like there is a whole separate system that is handling the comments as an after thought and this shows in the way they are then handled downstream.
Printing comments is a nightmare, whether they display our not is a nightmare, when the reply box will cut off a lengthy comment is…
