I have the same problem. I desperately need to be able to read PDFs, but Adobe Acrobat DC crashes *every* single time I open it on my BigSur.

As previous comment, with today's beta update, and from just trying Pro briefly, it LOOKS as if the crashes are gone.
YAY!

I use PDF Expert now and it works well

I wish there was an alternative product out there. I can’t wait for Adobe to get this fixed any longer.

Generally Adobe is great about patches to software even when in Beta, truly surprised that there hasn't not been a patch yet. Beta testing is very important to the entire community and this is important software.

very frustrating. Acrobat reader & DC pro both crash soon after launch - and in particular if any editing is attempted.

Please Adobe, provide a fix! -

Still crashing after the latest Big Sur update. Not fun at all...

For me it is still crashing a lot in the latest release.

Seems like things have improved significantly with the latest beta release (20A5364e)
So make sure you update your computer.

Add me to the list. Adobe should not be dragging their feet on this, since those of us that are adopting the new OS, should be able to be updated on what they are doing to be ready when Big Sur is released to the Public in the fall.

Same issue as everyone. Has anyone found a work around? Is an update coming up?

Currently running on latest build of macOS 11.0 Big Sur
Crash also occurs if you select "Don't ask again to set Adobe Acrobat as the default app to open PDFs"

Desktop version keeps crashing. Unable to use at all so switched to browser based version. This is working satisfactorily.

I am having a similar issue. I understand I am running a "beta" version of macOS, but (1) the GM release of Big Sur is right around the corner and (2) Acrobat was working in earlier versions of Big Sur, but began crashing for me after *Adobe* updated the app (not after Apple released an updated beta).
I don't run MacOS beta on my main work computer, but I felt it prudent to at least report the issue

Crashes whenever I try to do any editing.

Yes a quick fix for this would be helpful as we're dead in the water. Big Sur is coming soon and Beta testing for Apple and Adobe would seem an important part of the process.

I can confirm this also happens when trying to create a form or OCR text recognition. Big Sur's release is coming soon, so I also hope Adobe is addressing this.
