I need a reliable tool to safely split a large PDF file—any suggestions?

This tool can split a large PDF file into multiple smaller files based on their size, split by pages, etc. It can also modify PDF file metadata and other information without altering file content. Users do not have to install Adobe Acrobat or any such application. And it is compatible with all versions of Windows OS.
