Add Option to Include Linked Non-PDF Attachments When Using "Create PDF from Web Page"
We have a webpage that contains hyperlinks to documents of various types (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.). We are trying to use Adobe Acrobat Pro's "Create PDF from Web Page" feature to create a single PDF that combines the web page and its documents into a single PDF.
However, Acrobat Pro is not converting Excel documents to PDFs and including them--it is producing an error and skipping them.
We opened a ticket with Adobe Enterprise Support, and they were able to reproduce the behavior: Acrobat shows a warning message and provides links that can be followed to download the attachments but does not automatically download and include the attachments in the PDF.
The feature/change that we are requesting is that Acrobat provide the capability to automatically download the items from the links and include them in the PDF generated by "Create PDF from Web Page."
The feature is needed because our organization is required to create PDFs representing web pages with many linked documents of varying types. It isn't practical to convert each linked document manually. Since Acrobat has the ability to convert these document types, it would be very beneficial for it to be able to convert and include them on its own.
