Comment-filter is buggy?
The comment-filtering tool isn’t working as it used to. Before this issue, the comments I marked/checked as ‘completed’ would hide automatically when I set the comments-filter to ‘none’. I could then easily see how many comments there left unsolved. Now I have to constantly “manually refresh” the filter to get the checked comment to hide as I am working though the document.
By “manually refreshing” I mean go into the filter menu, change filter to ‘none’ and ‘completed’, click use, then go back to the filter menu and choose only ‘none’ and click use. This is a really wierd change if it’s not a bug.
Is it possible to fix this? Have I missed something that I can set in setting?

BUG: Copy / Paste text in PDF letters with accents paste as a space on Mac Big Sur
The copy paste function doesn't work with words that contain letters with accents on my Mac running Big Sur. Letters with accents paste as a space. It doesn't matter where I paste the text. The result is the same. This is a real problem for people using languages with a lot of accents. I'm able to open the same PDF using Preview and copy/paste the same text and see all the letters.
I opened another PDF that was created years ago with accented letters. The copy/paste worked in my browser and in Preview. I had the same problem when copying/pasting using the Acrobat Reader on Big Sur.
The version I have installed includes support for Intel based Mac computers which I assume is the problem. Hopefully an Apple Silicone version of the reader will be available soon.

PLEASE remove Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from my computer.
The unsolicited imposition of Acrobat Reader DC on my iMac has created nothing but problems for me. I am comfortable only with certain functions on the computer and the unwanted changes to my PDF files has caused a high level of frustration.

BUG: EUTL corrupted by default
If addressbook.acrodata is generated by updating Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL), EUTL will be corrupted. The default behavior of Adobe Reader when opening a signed document for the first time is to prompt for update of AATL. This causes EUTL to stop working and can only be solved by deleting addressbook.acrodata and update EUTL and AATL in the correct order.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
2. Open a document signed with an EUTL certificate.
3. Accept the prompt for Trust Certificates Update.Environment:
Freshly installed clean VM with Windows 10 20H2(19042.985)
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2021.001.20155Expected result:
Signature certificate is checked against both AATL and EUTL. Certificate marked as valid.Observed result:
Signature certificate is checked against AATL only. This marks the certificate as invalid.
This does not change after manually updating EUTL.The current workaround I have found is the following:
- Close Adobe Reader
- Delete addressbook.acrodata from C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Security
- Launch Adobe Reader and go to Edit > Preferences > Trust Manager
- Update the EUTL list and wait for the confirmation message. If you do AATL first addressbook.acrodata becomes corrupted and needs to be deleted again.
- Update the AATL list.
- Open or refresh the signed document. Both the certificate and the signature is now marked as valid and the signature panel shows that the certificate is validated against both AATL and EUTL.
This can be repeated several times and the result is always the same.
Updating AATL first = EUTL stops working.
Updating EUTL first = EUTL works.I have also posted the workaround in the Adobe Support Community:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/reader-will-not-validate-eu-qualified-signature-after-update/m-p/10813696If addressbook.acrodata is generated by updating Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL), EUTL will be corrupted. After decades, when Acrobat Reader starts, it still has not figured out how to reopen pdf files at the right page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me repeat honestly because I am exasperated by Adobe's incompetence:
After decades, when Acrobat Reader starts, it still has not figured out how to reopen pdf files at the right page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How do you justify this BIG problem after so many years of having created Adobe Reader?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 votesHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us for your query.
This feature is already available in Acrobat Reader. Here is how you can turn that on.1) Go to Edit → Preferences → “Documents” Tab
2) Select the checkbox for “Restore last view settings when reopening documents”This preference will make sure that your Acrobat reader remembers the last view of the pdf when it was closed and reopened.
Hope it helps ?
Thanks

Pen tool and arrow like the one in photoshop in Acrobat for mac, ipad and windows
I use acrobat for work and use it mostly for map prints I have to add notes and add lines. So I use the connected line tools from the comment section to draw the lines from certain points on the map print but I don't really like it because it sometimes makes it hard to get to one point to the next when I have the map print zoomed in . I can't scroll to get to the next point when using the connected lines tool. It's frustrating, so I would like there to be a pen tool like in photoshop to create lines and also be able to do curved line and arrow tool to be able to grab the point I need to get if I need to move just the point and not the whole line. The pen tool should be where connected line tool is at in the comment section in acrobat. Sometimes when I use the connected line tool and i want to move a point of one of the lines when the lines are on top of each other it gets the whole line of another line I don't want. I don't use photoshop because it would take me longer to finish the map print because the map print I open in acrobat are a few pages and photoshop can't open a document with pages like acrobat does. I think Adobe acrobat should have more tools that photoshop has that could help people using acrobat. For mac, ipad and windows

Multiple password to Multiple PDF files in one go
Adobe should have a feature to assign different passwords to different PDF file in one go.
Also a feature to send / share this multiple files to their individual recipient in one go.

internal link: "open in new tab"-option
Clicking on internal links in pdfs make you jump to the pointed position: E.g. in scientific papers, if you click on the source number you jump the source which is normally at the end of the pdf.
If you want to continue reading it is (as far as I know) impossible to jump back. It would be nice to include some options inspired by browsers: I would like to have the option to open the same pdf in a new tab/window again at the desired position so that after checking the source you can continue reading in the original tab. Also buttons to jump back/foward would solve this problem.

Eraser drawing tool
The eraser drawing tool slowly removes highlights and drawing lines and this problem makes you nervous, please fix this important problem.
Of course, adding an option to erase all lines and highlights in one go to the eraser is another suggestion.1 vote -
Bug: Print Sections command won't work for first bookmarked section only
The "Print Sections" command under the bookmarks panel won't work for the first section only. This command works for all other sections of the report. The problem is only with the first bookmarked section of each report.

PERFORMING PAGE RECOGNITION
The automatic OCR feature needs to be dropped and replaced with the option to use freely. It should be an option because we pay for this service. Clicking the box for text recognition does not work, it simply turns my pdf into jpg which then makes it uneditable.

about sha algorithms
hello, as you know, SHA-224 consists of six functions, 256, 384, 512, 512/224, 512/256, 256 and 512. But it encrypts with adobe acrobat sha 256. In my country, only 256 algorithm is not used. However, only 256 encryptions are made in Adobe. In my country, there are 384 sha encryption generators among the e-signature certificates produced by e-signature companies. I have the sha256 certificate, I can use it, but I cannot use the sha384 certificate. Having a method that supports or selects all sha values in your software will provide a great opportunity for both the development of your software and the increase of your users. We are not knowledgeable about software or integrations, we are end users. Companies do not take action on this, but you can make an update that supports all algorithms to solve this problem. I hope I will get a response as soon as possible and my problem will be solved.

McAfee as a default is an absolute disgrace. I wish there was some simple PDF software provided by a company less willing to bend over for a dollar.
Don't provide McAfee to finally appear as a legitimate, customer-first company. Embarrassing.
