I also have been using acrobat distiller/pro for YEARS. This version is clunky and non-intuitive. At least do a drag drop to the toolbar so we don't have to waste time finding basic icons that you've unnecessarily categorized in ways that make finding tools way too difficult! (And the zoom tool s/b default on the tool bar--so many people comment on the difficulty of finding and adding that one basic tool, yet you've decided others are better defaults?) I don't need my brain cluttered w/ non-intuitive, HUGE icons in groupings that are under your tools tab. Go back to small icon sizes so that we don't have to keep our window three times the size of the document just to see a standard tool set on the tool bar. Get rid of that silly tool tab (and home tab) and let us organize our own individual icons on our own toolbar for our own use at normal icon size!! I can't imagine the lost productivity time this version has caused. Please do a new version based on your older versions and scrap this one entirely! "Find your tools here" is also a waste of space. And the customize quick tools window should look exactly like my tool bar when I go to edit it. Icons are just flying all over the place and they are just not easy to corral. Soooo disappointed. Did you not have designers test this before release?

I cannot express my disappointment in how Adobe has changed their product. I've been using Adobe Professional and Distiller for over a decade. Like Microsoft, however, they make everything more difficult to do in their latest version. What used to take 1 click now takes 4. And, the graphics of the tool icons are washed out. I'm surprised there isn't a "like" button with all of the stupid childish color icons. The way it integrates into my browser is inefficient. Severely disappointed.

I sometimes have to use Adobe Acrobat Pro. The preferred way I deal with images that arrive in a .pdf format is to take a screenprint, paste that in MS Word or Publisher, then save as a jpeg.
Anything that can be done to remove any trace of Acrobat from the file is pursued as soon as possible, to make the image usable. I have tried adjusting Acrobat's settings re: image resolution, etc. to make it workable. Even simple editing like cropping is terrible. The SW must have some utility, but it is completely worthless with images. -

Suuuper inefficient, counter-intuitive and dumbed down to the point of being offensive to the audience. I don't speak toddler picture language. Adobe - do you really think that your average user is that stupid that he/she can't follow text menus?

I used to b***h and moan about using Microsoft products and their monkey-designed interface. Nothing to complain about now, because it's no worse than Adobe's latest offerings.

Billy Twilling said it best. Another long-time user who can't do even the simplest operations efficiently anymore. It looks like they reconfigured the program for toddlers. HORRIBLE.

Not Liking Adobe Any Longer commented
Why do companies change a great product to only make it more cumbersome and non efficient. Our company just updated to Standard DC and it takes me way more time to do things I just to do in just seconds. I have to now save my documents before I send them via email There are so many times when I don't need to save the document because of where I am sending it. There is no way that I have found to get rid of the horrific opening page. Why are the icons so **** big. Why didn't you keep the excellent toolbar across the top that allowed me to move pages, delete pages, etc. Now I have to click the tool icon and pick what I want to do. This software is junk and is equivalent to Distiller. Take advances forward, not 20 steps back which is what this program has done.

I have DC reader under my personal account where I can store my signature. In a small office of 2, we have a licensed copy of DCPro (monthly) premium - under a separate account. This is used may be once or twice a week between two of us. We logout when not using. However, every time I log in and try to use (e.g. convert or edit), it takes me back to DC Pro and wants to download software again!! For a 3-5 minutes of edit job, this really sucks!! I always start DC Pro from the shortcut created every time on the desktop! FIX IT or stop charging me premium.

Fix everything about Acrobat DC. The interface is laughably awful. I have been using this application since PDF was invented (Distiller, anyone?)...and I can't figure out how to change the highlight color. That means you have done an amazingly bad job with this POS.
