Had some computer work done and they upgraded from adobe reader xi to adobe acrobat reader dc. It messed up too much other stuff. Adobe acrobat pro xi lost some functionality. Many of the programs in the right click context menu did not show up and did not run correctly when they were chased down and ran. It seems like adobe acrobat reader dc decided it was the only thing that would work with any pdf files. As soon as I uninstalled it and got rid of any traces on my system all of the other things mentioned before started working correctly again.

Why did you change the deskew algorithm from Acrobat 9 and X when you made Acrobat DC? The OCR and deskew worked great in Acrobat 9 and X for scanned pages - it made the pages straight, just like deskew is supposed to do. In Acrobat DC, you run deskew on a scanned document and the pages are still skewed when it is finished. Completely useless! I now have hundreds of documents that I need to OCR and deskew. I cannot adequately convey the lost productivity in my workflow due to this change.
My attitude toward Adobe has gone from disappointed to angry. Compound the change in functionality with no available technical support except searching the forums for a possible solution. Please know that anytime I have the opportunity to influence or dictate a software tool decision, I will steer the solution away from Adobe. Now I am searching for an alternative tool that will actually do what it says - DESKEW a scanned PDF document.

It took me less time to write my resume than to save it to a useable PDF that didn't look like it was written by an overzealous sixth-grader.
The Einsteinian settings functions, which boast simplicity, refuse to allow you to do more than change the user or print the document and only embed certain fonts. Now, this I do understand. How many people are saving PDF's in WingDings?
Imagine my surprise, however, when Times New Roman is not supported. My Resume keeps popping out in something akin to Comic Sans.
I don't even care if this is Adobe's fault or Microsoft's. These two products are used so interchangeably the fact that a font as ubiquitious as Times New Roman is incompatible between the two boggles the mind.

adobe readers r a waste - big bulky files hard to work with, filled full of unwanted offers by so called partners which boils down to spam.

Acrobat is painful to do simple markups in. Adding comments is a tedious process - Techsmith Snagit has it right

New Adobe is truly awful.
Seems to be part of current trend to make software look
fancy but with only the developers in mind, NO THE USERS]IN MIND.
I have been really frustrated with Adobe DC -

Ok - Adobe DC is utter, utter garbage and I am sure somehow reflects the absolute disregard and disdain this company has for anyone but itself.
Such simple things do not work and are not fixable with NO SUPPORT whatsoever.
Will never reinstall another Adobe product on this corporate network.
Lost for words as to how utterly incompetent these developers are.
Like the previous post Fk u Adobe -

Adobe Acrobat DC, garbage freezes EVERY time I try to save a PDF as "save as". ******* 100% garbage.
Not like this is the first year they built this product. Why oh ******* why does every new version become worse than the last? Its ******* insane. Adobe reader has been out for ages, so really, this product, by now, should be so rock ******* solid you shouldn't be able to blow it up even if you wanted. But NO>>>peanut brain programmers from University of "***************". -

Adobe Acrobat Touch hurts to use. If I tab out of it for any amount of time I cannot go back and edit the form I was working on. I have to close the program and restart it. I can't change the font or anything. It's all around a bad product.

My technical documentation department uses Acrobat Pro dozens (hundreds) of times per day. We are typical of your target market for full-featured Acrobat.
After trying DC, I returned to Acrobat Pro XI. If Pro XI stops working, I will find another alternative. I will never "upgrade" to DC because it is so inconvenient, slow, and dysfunctional. Very sorry to see this incredibly useful tool spoiled.

Adobe acrobat DC makes me feel like im back in 2002, the software is terribly slow. I don't understand how you guys have regressed in an era of erratic technology growth. It is actually funny to think how incompetent your team must be.

Can't get the tool bars to show up. I've followed instructions on 5 different pages and nothing. Seriously - to have the tools you most use readily available should not be difficult. Either make it intuitive or provide some decent instructions.

Adobe, you took one of my most useful and important tools, the Acrobat Pro Portfolio, and absolutely gutted the features that made it most useful. Instead of a nice scalable icon preview of each file that I could readily identify by sight, I now have to read each tiny file name. On top of that I can not even sort the files without going through some God awful work around using the description field which by the way does not work with signed docs. Ditto to all of the comments below as well. What Wiley Coyote Super Genius got all excited in a meeting and decided this is really going to shake things up...well he/she was right, it has, shaken me up to the core. My work flow time has easily tripled. Nice Job! Thank you so much for listening to your customers who have been providing this same type of feedback over the last year and coming up with some innovative solutions... Here is a solution, re-release the previous Pro version and call it Adobe Acrobat Sorry We Released DC. I would pay double the price for that fix...could not be more disappointed
