Not all Comments showing by default in commented PDF
Open PDF – note that Acrobat DC reports one comment in sidebar on right of window.
This is on Acrobat Pro DC, up-to-date (version 2021.001.20155), Running on MacOS Catalina (v.10.15.7). Comments were made on Acrobat Reader DC for PC, (version 2021.001.20138)
Expected result – should display the amount of total comments in the PDF.
Observed result – only displays comments once those pages are navigated to or scrolled past.
This has been reproducible on multiple versions of MacOS

This is happening to me too. Makes life as a law student a lot harder.

Same issue here. Showed all comments up to page 7 of a 27 page document, then they stopped. I assumed that was the end of the clients edits. Looked like an ***. Please fix this Adobe!

This change in the viewing of comments is illogical and maddening. I have had to wipe egg off my face more than once with my clients. As others have noted here, reliability in communication is a cornerstone of maintaining professional relationships, and this certainly is an unnecessary and seemingly arbitrary hinderance in communicating.

Ce problème doit être corrigé rapidement. Çà nuit à notre production et notre professionnalisme face à nos clients. Une mise à jour ou une correction du problème s'impose et rapidement.

This is embarrassing and needs to be fixed quickly. This is causing major headaches here and it makes us look bad in front of the client. Comments are a pain in Acrobat since DC, they are slow bloated and buggy. Since this is an important part of the communication between collaborators on projects, reliability is key.

Months on and this still isn't working. It causes embarrassment with clients when trying to work through their edits and makes the whole markup process totally untrustworthy as you can't assume you're seeing all the mark-ups.
I just opened a marked up PDF. There were no comments, not even with the normal hack of scrolling through each page to have them magically appear. I redownloaded their marked up PDF because I knew it wasn't meant to be empty and this time, the comments appeared, but of course, only after scrolling through each page.
This is ridiculous and only started happening a few months ago after years of use with no problems.

I am having the same issue. I can see in the list 2 comments, but only when I scroll down the pages do more comments appear. My colleague informed me that she had a total of 64 comments, but my version of the PDF only shows 59 when I scroll to the last page. This is very frustrating.

Same in our business, we received several commented PDF files from our client.
Upon opening, there is only 1 comment present in the overview list (pane).
When you scroll down the document and happen to pass by a page with another comment, only then does it show up. Also here the issue is reproducable on PC's of colleagues. My Acrobat Pro DC version (at the time of writing) is version 2021.001.20060. on a PC with Windows 10.

Same thing happening for me.
Only a handful, sometimes none, appearing in comments sidebar.
I trashed the documents, restarted, pulled them out of the trash and then all comments appeared.
