acrobat reader error - "a running instance of acrobat has caused an error"

acrobat READER DC gets stuck - there are multiple running processes of "acrobat.exe", but none is to be seen.
when trying to open a new document - an error is displayed

"Something went wrong"
"a running instance of acrobat has caused an error".

There is no error in Event Viewer.

version is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2022.001.20085 64 bit
Windows 10 21H2

    I think I found the cause:
    The graphic card is very old one - VEN_8086&DEV_0042 (Intel HD Graphics - GMA4500)
    and the latest official drivers are from ~2013.

    It's probably possible to use "Modded Intel GMA4500" or the "Custom driver GMA4500", but I guess that "best" solution is to buy a new graphic card.
    bummer.
