  1. Icelandic OCR

    In fact, all languages supported by the open source tesseract project should be available to Adobe customers. Better yet, Adobe licenses OCR from I.R.I.S. S.A. and meanwhile Readiris 17 has support for 130 languages, including Icelandic. Time to update or lose some license restrictions and move open source. What are you paying for, other than sub-par technology? Tesseract is a project supported by Google with an Apache 2.0 license.

    Foxit and ABBYY Finereader also have support. Adobe is severely lagging behind here. The tesseract engine is particularly good at character recognition but does not have a very nice interface. There…

And also when I have a Pdf of several pages and I want to send that certain page by mail, before I used the function to extract and I send directly the extraction by mail. Now after extraction if I want to send it I have to register it, is it possible to make sure not to have to register before sending.

  3. zoom out while typing

    I don't understand what I'm doing to make this happen, but when I am typing using fill and sign the page starts zooming out when I type certain keys. It didn't do this before the last update. I've noticed it happens when I type 1 or 2. Is there some shortcut I'm calling without noticing? How can I make this stop?

    Hi,

    We have made some fixes around this area. Can you please update to the latest version : Go to Help > Check for updates.

    Do let us know if you still observe the crash after updating to the latest version (2019.010.20069).

  5. send as attachment

    The new unified share experience really slows down our workflow and adds unnecessary steps. Please implement a shortcut/button so that we can go back to one click or one keyboard shortcut to attach to email.

    There are many links for references list in science paper, but it is really make me upset to click a link then jump to the end of a paper and then searching in paper where I just have read.

  7. BUG: Shortkey to Accessibility menu does not work in French

    For the production of a robot, I need it to use hotkeys to get into menu's in Adobe acrobat. I got everything to work in English and Dutch languages. But when I want to access the same menu's with a combination of ALT and the desired letters (they differ per language offcourse), in French; All of a sudden he does not get past ALT+S (for accessabilité, which is accessability in French).

    I think there must be a bug hidden somewhere.

  8. Cannot Hide Tools Pane in Pro DC

    I cannot permanently close the tool pane. There is no "Open Tools Pane for Each Document" option to turn off in Edit >> Preferences >> Documents. When I manually close the tool pane with a document open, close the document and reopen it, the tool pane doesn't "stick" closed. It's open again. I am rarely, if ever, going to use anything in the tool pane. It's large and annoying. I don't want to see it every time I open a document. How do I get the tool pane to go away without having to manually close it with every document…

  10. Keyboard functions in the Tags Panel

    I am using Keyboard only to access the Tags Panel.

    Switching between the Advanced Search menu, and the main document Window, using F6 to move Focus to the Tags panel and Find Tag from Selection work great. I perform subsequent actions and my first search/action is done.

    Then I Alt tab back to the Advanced Search panel, move up to the next item, Alt tab back to the main document Window, F6 to the Tags Panel, the item I searched for is selected, but the previous Tag (from search # 1) still has dotted lines around it and it has…

  11. Accessibility check rejects manual line breaks from InDesign

    when a file is exported to Acrobat from InDesign, the accessibility checker rejects every manual line break in the document. There is no fix offered in Acrobat. Please fix.

  12. Combining multiple PDF's in to one Document. NOT WORKING.

    Using Acrobat PRO DC 19.008.20074
    When I open Adobe, Combine files, add the files I want to combine, either PDF or other word, excel, etc, click on Combine. What I end up with is a "PORTFOLIO". The thumbnails are all visible on the navigation pane but the actual PDF that was supposed to contain all the pages I just combined, there is only the first page, no other pages. I create Board packets with this feature. It has become a big headache. How do I get this to work.

  13. Please bring back Clearscan

    I really need Clearscan back. I don't want editable texts, but I just want characters to be smoothed out. I feel that there should be an option for this. I am Japanese, and usually scan Japanese characters. Editable texts might work for alphabets, but not really for Asian characters. I upgraded from Acrobat XI to Acrobat to Acrobat pro 2017, but scanning experience with this 2017 version was the worst as far as ocr was concerned.

  15. BUG: 2D graphics accelerator not working properly on high contrast mode (GTX 1080)

    When in accesibility/high contrast mode, white horizontal lines will appear over the black background at random segments of the document as you scroll up/down. Deactivating 2D graphics accelerator solved the issue for me. I have a GTX 1080 Max-Q.

    I would gladly pay $5/month for the use of Adobe Acrobat Pro, but $15/month is far too high for the amount I use the software. Also, I would appreciate it if you would simply provide the subscription option of "Three months free" instead of waiting for me to cancel my subscription before offering me better pricing for your product. It feels like you're trying to dupe me as a customer when you do that, and it comes across as dishonest.     Hi,

    There is an option to increase the line spacing when you convert the text to a comb field. Follow the below steps :

    1. Place a text field.
    2.Convert it to a comb field by using the 4th option in the quick tools section (next to delete icon)
    3. Increase the line spacing by using the re-sizer on the right hand side of the comb field.

  18. View nested animation in AE and Flash/Animate in main composition/timeline would be extremely useful for animating complex scenes.

    With Flash/Animate for years, I've had trouble with nested animations. In order to use the nesting to its full potential, and for organization, I will animate small pieces in nested animations (Flash) and am now trying to use pre-Composite groups on the main composition (AfterEffects). For multiple items, and for many nested animations, it's extremely difficult to create a uniform animation when I can't see what's happening in the Main Composition/ Timeline while in the nested animation or pre-composite.   19. Acrobat Pro briefly "flashes" (launches and quits) at startup (OS X 10.13.6)

    Since the latest Acrobat update (Build: 19.8.20071.303822), the app briefly "flashes" (launches and quits) at startup. I checked the System Prefs/Login Items, and, as expected, I only see AdobeResourceSynchronizer there so I don't quite understand what is going on. Do you? Otherwise, the app works as advertised (so far). Thanks.

  20. Stop changing its behaviour by default

    PLEASE! When you make a so-called "improvement" DON'T make it default to new behaviour. Include that new feature as an option, but don't force me, in the middle of my work day, to suddenly have to cope with unexpected behaviour and then spend all kinds of time researching how to REMOVE what you have just done to it. You just made it default to using tabs instead of new windows, and I am BEYOND frustrated! For those who want that...fine, but don't force me to use that so-called feature. It's not a feature for me.
