Search Function D.C. Home Page: Flexibility on Scope of Search
Your recent update of Acrobat DC Pro changed the scope of the search function in the search box in the upper right hand corner.
It used to search among the title of the files in my cloud (about 10,000) on the title of the file with boolean "and" logic if I put multiple descriptors.
Now, it searches on the titles of files AND IN THE FILES which gives back too many search results to be useful for my purposes.
So you can understand exactly: over 3 years I have built my entire library of thousands of documents with no subdirectories by putting in the title of each document multiple descriptors. This allows me to find everything in a second by typing in a list of descriptors (name, date, topic, etc...). This unique feature of Adobe is why I chose it over other options.
Anyway, to get back to work Support helped me today install the October version.
However, it would be best in the next version if you add a preference box for the scope of the search box. This could be of great value to many users who have large libraries in your cloud and want flexible search.
Ideally, for a researcher living and working in your cloud, there will be an artificial intelligence function where you can talk to the computer to ask multi-part complex questions and then ask the computer to process the data once it is found. But, first things first.
Thank you for your consideration. Greg Makoff
