opening files in new tab

There used to be button under Preferences->General where if you selected it, anytime you opened a new PDF file, it would open in a new window rather than in a new tab. There's still a space in the Preferences menu where it could go, almost like it was omitted unintentionally. Could we have that back pretty please? I need to view multiple PDFs simultaneously.

    I would like to second this request too. We need to have choice to open documents in new windows please

    Hi. I would like to second this request. I often view a PDF in an Acrobat window and need to open another PDF. When the second PDF opens as a tab in the first window I often end up closing both documents where I only intended to close the second document. This is very annoying and distracting and often drops me out of flow.
