  2. This dialog box used to default to ok. Now it requires an extra click, rather than being able to just add the trim marks, then hit enter twice

  3. I've been trying to get a PDF to print from Acrobat Pro for over an hour. I don't have a large number of fonts installed, so that's not it. It's not that there's something wrong with the PDF; it opens in Photoshop and prints from Safari with no problem. Why the, is Acrobat hanging forever?

  4. On some HP printers, if the user prints double-sided, the pages are all offset by an initial blank side. Thus the first sheet gets only page 1, then sheet 2 gets pages 2 and 3, and so on ...

This turns out to be an interactive fault where in the printer believes that there is a cover sheet and it is blank.

The remedy is simple, but tedious since it must be repeated every time one prints.

    Open PRINT
Click on <Printer> at the bottom of the dialog box
    Ignore the warning and continue.
Make sure "Show Details" is open.…

  5. Just in the last few days, every time I print to PDF from a webpage, all I get is symbols and junk. If I print to save over an existing file, its says it was created. But it actually does nothing but delete the original file.

  7. I would like to be able to insert print breaks (force next page to print on top page in duplex).

Currently, the only way to do this is to add a blank page, however, this looks very odd when viewing the electronic version versus the printed copy. It would be nice if there was a way to force certain pages to be treated as a first page for printing purposes (conceptually similar to how a page break forces the next line of text onto the next page)

  9. When I print my pdf file as a booklet (8.5 x 11 folded) in Acrobat Pro 2017 on a Mac, the margins are much wider than I'd like them to be - they are not printing as they are in the file - they are much thicker, with more white space around the text. What can I do to fix this? Thank you!

  10. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on Windows 10 ver 1803 is unable to print the pdf file. It says "not responding" for an hour. I reboot the computer, restart the program and the same result each time.

    Thanks,

  11. Suddenly within the last few days, if I print from my Acrobat Pro DC to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer, it only prints two-sided PDF documents on the Short-Edge binding even if Long-Edge binding 2-sided printing mode was selected. Was there a recent s/w update with bug that's causing this phenomenon? I use 2-sided printing quite a bit and this is really a huge problem for me!

  12. The Page Size on a PDF is 10.00 x 7.5 in but I am trying to print to 11 x 8.5 in. The printer is requesting 16k paper which I don't have. When I click ignore then it cuts off part of the document.

  13. As the world continues to use PDFs for EVERYthing, it is so so important that people are aware of Overprint Preview. However, most people don't know it even exists in their page display preferenc. If you don't have this turned on things that are set to overprint will show as if they are not overprinting (mostly on the customer's end). Because the default of Acrobat is not to have Overprint Preview turned on, customers don't realize the problem. In the printing industry this is one of the biggest stumbling stones (boulders) we come across. That and fonts, of course.

  14. Pls provide us with the ability to Print to Adobe and append to rather then overwrite an existing file. Append to front or back of file instead of having to save each file and then open them all in adobe and merge them.

  15. Allow users to set the default printer to an actual physical printer rather than having Adobe continually default to "printing" to pdf. Multiple times a day I have to "re-set" my printer preference from "PDF" to the physical printer. After a few hundred times, I find myself deeply irritated with Adobe engineers and designers.

  16. When you print to pdf or perform some action where it saves the file, it typically goes to the location you last printed to or saved to. In my case, this is typically a location where I was working on my last project and not the most current project file on a network. What would be really sweet would be if when you export, save, or print a file etc. that it would give the option of selecting from presently open windows file folders. Or perhaps if you could create a shortcut to a file location in adobe that you…

  18. I know there is an option to "Save as PDF". However, sometimes, you don't want to "Save as PDF". You may want to "Print as PDF" (as it is in windows).

These 2 are different since "saving as PDF" simply saves the page as it is while "Printing as PDF" gives one the flexibility of saving as booklet, multiple pages e.t.c.

Also, "printing as PDF" enables one to save PDF forms that are not traditionally enabled for saving.

All these are important and standard features on the Windows version of the software.

  20. I would like to be able to select all open docs for printing and have them print separately.
The workaround is to combine the docs, but when printing two-sided, the documents end up with page one of one section on the back of the last page of another section. I need these to print out as individual sections.
Instead of having to combine, please create this as a print option - "print all open docs."
