1. Duplex, collate, odd-numbers of pages, and not-useful printed results

   Synopsis:
   A) Please fix duplexing such that page one of a document always begins on the front of a sheet of paper. This means a the back page of an odd-numbered document should be blank.

   B) Please let the Collate button both be visible regardless of the number of copies and let it have a default and/or remembered setting. The combination of it being initially invisible and the defaulting to the less-desirable setting results in wasted printed material.

   Detail:
   This is a consistent problem that sprung into existence about a year ago, near as I can tell on both Acrobat DC and Reader for Mac.

   OS: It occurs on every install I have (4 different Macs, various versions of OSX but reasonably updated over that timeframe).

   Printers: this occurs on every printer in the organization. All are Brother laser printers. At least 5 different models.

   Duplex printing generates output that is unexpected, and unworkably so, in these situations.

   Odd number of pages. Say you print a 3-page document, Copies = 2, Duplex on, Collate on.

   Sheet: front page/back page. Expected output from the printer:

   Sheet one: 1/2
   Sheet two: 3/blank
   Sheet three: 1/2
   Sheet four: 3/blank

   Actual output is:

   Sheet one: 1/2
   Sheet two: 3/1
   Sheet three: 2/3

   Why anyone would actually want this output is beyond me. That said, even if it was somehow desirable, why would it be the default. The only workaround I have found is to either add a blank page to the document to make it an even number of pages, or to print 1 copy many times. This is woefully inefficient.

   Collation also causes this problem. Specifically, the Collate checkbox does not appear until the number of copies is increased beyond 1. Then the Collate box appear, but always unchecked. If you do not notice this, then your duplex output will be:

   Sheet one: 1/1
   Sheet two: 2/2

   Also a wasteful default behavior, both in terms of paper and ink, but also in terms of time.

   While there might be some sensible reason for both of these behaviors, I cannot fathom it. What I do know is that they product unexpected default results that are different than how other programs print and different than how Acrobat behaved until about 1 year ago.

2. Lexmark C543dn Printer problems! (machine error 900) With Acrobat Pro Dc on MacBook Pro! I regularly print pdf files in booklet format. A

   I regularly print pdf files in booklet format. A lot of files stop the with error code 900. While on an older MacBook with Adobe Reader 9.5.5 all documents print flawless! I will not activate this version until I have a solution for this problem!

   Please advise.

3. When printing, the ability to switch between paper size on the front page without having to go into properties

   When you select print and the print box appears. Could you put the ability to select paper size in this box instead of having to go into properties.

4. My HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 does not collate any Adobe PDF files if I print multiple copies

   This problem only exists for Adobe PDF files, and i use a Macbook Pro

6. Compatibility issue with AutoCAD

   AutoCAD has an option to create a "wipeout" feature that you can place behind text to hide the drawing behind it. When creating PDFs from AutoCAD, it looks perfect while viewed as a digital copy. However, when end users (not the PDF creators) try to print these onto hardcopy FROM ACROBAT, the wipeout areas appear shaded, hatched, or solid black. This is not an issue with AutoCAD, as they print out correctly from the source. It is a compatibility issue that needs to be a collaborative effort between Autodesk and Adobe. This has actually been a problem for years, and has never been fixed. Please contact Autodesk to collaborate with them on a permanent solution, as workarounds are not an option for the hundreds of unknown end users that may want to print something out after we submit it in PDF format.

7. Acrobat silently refuses to print all the pages you paste into the Pages field

   One task I need to perform frequently in my job is to search 1,000+ page documents for certain keywords, then save to a file JUST those pages with that keyword.

   I had been doing that by using Advanced Search with the keyword, identifying particular pages to print and typing the page numbers into Notepad as I went along, such as "250-255,260-263,266,270-276,278,281,287,290-294,302,304,305,307,309,311-320,322,333,334,337-339,343-347,355,357,370-372,379". Then I would paste that string into the Pages box in the Print dialog box.

   But, come to find out, Acrobat has been TRUNCATING that to 100 characters, WITHOUT telling me. It would just go ahead and print fewer pages than I wanted.

   You can reproduce the problem by finding a 400+ page document, copying and pasting the above string of page numbers into the Page field, and printing (presumably to a file).

   Please:
   (a) Fix Acrobat so that if one tries to paste too many characters into the Page field, it issues a warning.
   (b) GREATLY increase the number of characters accepted in the Page field, such as to 1,000.

8. Consistently, when i attempt to print a PDF off of a website, i receive an error message that my license is not valid. it is valid

9. Cannot print with Acrobat Pro DC

   I have CC full suite and from the day I had to install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC I have been unable to print locally from any open PDF. I have tried multiple fixes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've updated the printer drivers and had my IT support look at it. And now that this program is embedded in everything, I can't event go back to Acrobat.

   What's the problem?

10. Save Pop-up Box when closing PDFs - Annoying

    Any time I open a PDF and then merely print the document, I cannot simply close the PDF once printed. I get a pop-up box asking if I want to 'save changes to xxxxx.pdf before closing.' This is quite annoying when I have multiple documents open and have to click No for each PDF I have just printed.

    This pop-up is a relatively new 'feature' so it must have been activated by a recent update.

    I aks that you please fix this issue.

12. Trouble "Printing" to Adobe Acrobat (from Word, Outlook, Excel)

    Never had any trouble printing to Adobe from MS Office programs before now, but since new team licence was purchased, we can't print to Adobe PDF or use the "Convert to Adobe PDF" option in MS Outlook.

13. SERIOUSLY? How about being able to turn off 2-sided printing on MacOS Mojave?

    How about a conspicuously placed box to check "1-sided or 2-sided." Adobe Acrobat is the only application that automatically prints 2-sided docs on my MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave. Come on, people. It's 2019. I'm not asking for much.

14. Files print but data is missing

    PDF files print but the data is missing. For example the state wants a tax form from me, but although the form prints, the numbers don't show.

16. double sided printing

    Mac OSX 10.14.6 (18G95). DC Version Build: 19.12.20040.345140. When printing multi page docs, unless I open the Print/Printer dialog box, DC automatically prints double sided even though the check box for that option is not checked.

17. Save as Adobe PDF option no longer works in Microsoft Excel for Mac

    After updating to Adobe Pro DC CR 2019.012.20034, Save as Adobe PDF in print dialog box no longer works in Microsoft Excel for Mac - Version 16.26 (19051310). Can select option, but nothing happens.

18. PDF Preview Page 1 comes out blank

    When you are about to print, the first page of the PDF preview comes out blank. If you click the right arrow to see Page 2, the PDF preview appears again to page 2. However, if you press the left arrow to go back, then all PDF preview pages go blank.

19. PostScript Custom Page Size Definition

    When I am using any software other than Illustrator, I cannot seem to publish a PDF smaller than 1 inch. I am working on labels and I have a label that is 5 inches wide by .85 inch high and the PostScript Custom Page Size Definition has a min of 1 inch by 1 inch. The only way for me to create this label was in Illustrator. I used BarTender to create barcode labels and publish them to PDF, but I can't publish this label. I don't understand why you would have a minimum publish size, especially if PDF's are only being viewed and not always printed. This is a continuous printed label on a Zebra thermal printer that has a roll of labels and cuts them in between each label. Please fix this issue!
