  1. Would be nice to have a check box to say 'this is the way I want my UI setup', a la Microsoft File Explorer (use this view for all folders).
The preferences as they are , are too complex
Let the user set the window the way they want
Then record that in the prefs with a single check box

  3. Mostly there are many documentations which associates lot of text info referring a specific Image or Diagram. While reading the text, it always required to imagine the diagram if it is in another page and having a window side by side when clicked on this image to use it for referring while reading the following text or comparing other diagrams could be very useful to many industries.

  4. Many times, I am confronted with a text string that needs a search (I generally use Google) and from within Acrobat I must select and copy the text, then go to the browser and search. I know it sounds fundamentally lazy...but these steps if repeated over and over take time. From the Chrome browser, we can select and then right-click text and "Search in Google" is an option. Acrobat is a much richer environment for working with the PDF but then the constant charade (for instance in a legal document with citations) of select, copy, open the browser, open or…

  7. When using the Pan mouse function, the mouse often selects text/images rather than panning. There is already a Select mouse option, when using Pan, you should not be able to select text as that's not what you're attempting to do.

  10. By Editing PDF fields in Adobe Acrobat DC user has to be logged in. By on click on edit, it opens the popup for "7 days test period". This pop up you can't close or you can't quit the application.

    Software:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Version 2021.007.20099

    Hardware:
    Architecture: x86_64
    Processor: Intel
    Build: 21.7.20099.455081
    AGM: 4.30.111
    CoolType: 6.0.0
    JP2K: 2.0.2.49666

Also, the webpage and the registration process is fully with bugs. I have the feeling, the Adobe lost the quality.

  11. Many PDF documents contain internal links. When clicking on these, the user is taken to another part of the document. It would be incredibly useful to me and my colleagues if there was a 'preview link' option. Perhaps this could work by hovering the mouse over the link, and the preview to the link pops up in a small temporary window, allowing you to quickly view the link, without redirecting to a different page.

The motivation for this is as follows: In mathematical sciences, these internal links often refer to equations earlier in the document, which are being combined to…

  12. The "Save" function for saving a pdf is extremely annoying, it behaves like "Save as". And from googling I see this is "as designed"??? Why would you design the "Save" function to behave like "Save as". It's like 4-5 clicks to save one pdf! I see others complaining about this also. Why would such a big company design it this way one wonders..when every other program uses "Save" as they're supposed to.

  13. Clicking on internal links in pdfs make you jump to the pointed position: E.g. in scientific papers, if you click on the source number you jump the source which is normally at the end of the pdf.

If you want to continue reading it is (as far as I know) impossible to jump back. It would be nice to include some options inspired by browsers: I would like to have the option to open the same pdf in a new tab/window again at the desired position so that after checking the source you can continue reading in the original tab.…

  14. The "Print Sections" command under the bookmarks panel won't work for the first section only. This command works for all other sections of the report. The problem is only with the first bookmarked section of each report.

  18. The automatic OCR feature needs to be dropped and replaced with the option to use freely. It should be an option because we pay for this service. Clicking the box for text recognition does not work, it simply turns my pdf into jpg which then makes it uneditable.

  20. When having multiple tabs open from diferent PDF documents, would be nice to have to option to save current session to close the program and be able to reopen as left in the previous state. Sometimes Windows is requiring a restart for updates and you don´t want to loose all the documents open for the next day.
