  1. When highlighting scanned documents, would be very helpful to have a key stroke option to force the tool to highlight a straight line. Acrobat will currently do this automatically for short/very straight segments. Please consider adding option to hold down a key (e.g., shift, ctrl, etc.) while using the tool to force a straight line rather than truly free form - which can be very messy and unprofessional in appearance depending on the context.

  2. Please add a keyboard shortcut for fill & sign! Adding this speeds up the process for signature on PDF documents for confirming invoices on the logistics/business side of things.

It doesn't take much effort to add the option for custom keyboard shortcuts too if you can add this to the paid Acrobat version.

  5. When a PDF file is opened from a mapped share e.g. N:\test.pdf which is mapped to a Windows 2022 DFS share e.g. \contoso.com\dfs\myshare\test.pdf. In Windows 11 when saving this file adobe reader prompts the message: "This document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder". And the app suggests a temp folder on the computer with at temp file name. This issue only happens in Windows 11 and not in Windows 10. The issue has been tested with the same user account on both machines. The…

  6. In the Bookmarks pane, the mouse wheel does not scroll like it should (and used to). Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines are affected, with both Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  9. Stop the bookmarks opening automatically every time a PDF is opened. They have to be manually closed every time to provide more space to view the architectural drawing. Its very irritating and a very bad idea to have them opening every time as the default setting. They should be closed unless needed, not open and need closing every time.

  10. Adobe Acrobat Reader v2023.006.20320 64 bit.
After the Windows September 2023 updates (Windows 11 Pro 22H2 22621.2283) I started getting the message "Acrobat quit unexpectedly" message.
I get this message several times a day.
I get the error even if I do not do anything related to Adobe Reader DC.
I have a feeling this is related to the "Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer". I am saying this because if I turn off that setting, I do not get the error.
I tried the troubleshooting steps but that did not help.
Following the suggestion to enable the CrashDumps…

  12. HI. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 and Adobe Reader DC.
I think there is security bug at Adobe Reader DC when handling 3d-pdf files.

The problem is enabling 3d measurement tools at Adobe Reader DC with secured 3d-pdf files made by Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.
I contacted to region customer service about this problem and received this function is intended option.

Customer center said that you’d better to contact bug report if you want to know about further information.

I should have not have bought Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 bundle if enabling 3d measurement tools for secured 3d-pdf…

  13. It would be useful to have arrows like in web browsers to move smoothly in documents with cross-references and bookmarks.
I am a latex user and often in pdfs produced by latex for scientific documents there are hyperlinks for equations, figures and bibliographical references in text. It would be useful in reading, once you have checked the reference to be able to go back.

  16. SUGGESTION
With the current version (2020.006.20034), these can be hidden but for the current session only. Put an option in settings to hide these interface elements globally.

    WHY THE FEATURE IS NEEDED
To maximize vertical screen real-estate; as most of the devices these days are shipping with widescreen displays.

  17. Since using Adobe Reader DC for PC, the last few updates have only increased the number of clicks required to do basic tasks. When saving a document, with either the CTRL + S key press or selecting Save from the file tree, there doesn't seem to be any necessity to have the window attached pop up. It's a similar feature to Office programs now, and really only makes the process take longer. Clicking on Choose a Different Folder just brings up the same save options we had in the past. This just creates more steps and wastes time.

  18. Since updating Reader to version 24.002.21005, some PDFs or PDFs from clients have been displaying font issues. However, the same files open correctly using other programs (Acrobat Pro, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, PDF Xchange, Abby, etc.). Please help us identify and resolve this issue, as it greatly affects us. Thank you.

  19. Have an option or a call switch that can be made so that when a file loads it can simply close the file and not save it if the ADOBE is closed?

We print labels and the user does not want to save the labels - merely print them so they would like to be able to see the labels and print then and then close the Adobe and not have to cancel the save.

  20. The "Save" function for saving a pdf is extremely annoying, it behaves like "Save as". And from googling I see this is "as designed"??? Why would you design the "Save" function to behave like "Save as". It's like 4-5 clicks to save one pdf! I see others complaining about this also. Why would such a big company design it this way one wonders..when every other program uses "Save" as they're supposed to.
