  1. Ditch McAfee. Windows defender, Malware Bytes, and Symantec are what I use, and I hate having to uninstall McAfee after accidentally installing it.

  2. Adobe Reader is very slow after I resize the window on my Windows 10 laptop. This includes maximizing and restoring down a window. If I only open one document, it usually takes 1-3 seconds to respond, depending on how complicated the document is. This is already significantly slower than Firefox and Chrome. Furthermore, if I open two documents, resizing takes 3-6 seconds, and longer when more document tabs are opened. This is a big performance issue. Looks like Adobe Reader is rendering all the documents synchronously after the window is resized, which is completely unnecessary; it should only render the…

  3. Please add a keyboard shortcut for fill & sign! Adding this speeds up the process for signature on PDF documents for confirming invoices on the logistics/business side of things.

It doesn't take much effort to add the option for custom keyboard shortcuts too if you can add this to the paid Acrobat version.

  4. I would like to turn a certain PDF into a .jpg and I do not anticipate a need to do this again in the near future. Seems a little out of touch to expect anyone to pay $15.00 for a month and “potentially” hundreds of dollars to use a service only once or twice in a year.
On your most economical plan, Adobe receives about half of a dollar per day and allows an unlimited number of document conversions , as well as other services.

Adobe should offer an alternative payment schedule of $1.00 per document,
    up to, $3.00 for…

  5. McAfee as a default is an absolute disgrace. I wish there was some simple PDF software provided by a company less willing to bend over for a dollar.

Don't provide McAfee to finally appear as a legitimate, customer-first company. Embarrassing.

  6. I was not given an option to unselect the McAfee security offering at install. I only wanted Reader and nothing else but it installed all so I had to go through the uninstall process for the McAfee portion.

  7. I would like to be able to save a PDF in only one click.
Currently, I have to click 3 times. I click on save.
    1. The 'Save as' windows open (this window is a fraud btw).
    2. Then I have to click on the folder that I want.
    3. Then I have to confirm the file name in the right folder.
Other softwares (such as Foxit) allow to simply save in one click my PDF in its original folder. As simple as that.
    Thanks

  8. please add and allow the cursor to change. I am visually impaired and have enlarged Window mouse pointer. When mouse pointer gets into the Reader, it "disappeared" and was so small and hard to follow!

  9. Currently, click-hold and dragging with the middle mouse button results (hand symbol with four arrows) in the document scrolling at a (rather extreme) rate of speed that is determined how far away your cursor is from where you first clicked the button. The document will scroll continuously until you either move your cursor back closer to its initial location, or release the mouse button.
I would much prefer the behavior to be like what you get when you hold space and then click and drag with the left mouse button. I.e., you "drag" the document around with the mouse, and…

  11. As of this post, Adobe Reader allows for the option to connect your Google Drive account to it, to view pdfs from the "My Drive" folder (on Google Drive) on the Reader.

    Description of desired feature:
I would like the option to view pdfs in folders that are in the "Shared with Me" folder of Google Drive along with the ones in "My Drive"

    Why this feature is needed:
Increases the utility of the Adobe Reader on Google Drive.

  12. I read a lot of research articles. And, I am pretty sure we all know how academic jargon can be exacerbated sometimes. Having an offline/online dictionary would be a great deal. Imagine if I can just double click/tap on a word and then the definition pops up! It can be a pain to switch from the Reader to a Browser at times for a definition.

  13. With all the programs I have tested I can click my mouse wheel and enable scrolling by moving my mouse. With Adobe Reader when I click the mouse wheel a hand icon appears with four arrows. As long as I hold the mouse wheel down I can scroll the document. What I am asking for is that the program have the feature so that I can release the mouse wheel and be able to scroll. With other programs this works until I depress a button, move the mouse wheel, or click the mouse wheel which resets the mouse scroll.

  14. After opening Acrobat Reader DC (in a windowed mode, not in tabbed), it, for some mysterious reason, switches off the Windows 10 Explorer setting for windows to cast shadows. It results in focused folder windows becoming visually borderless, making it very difficult to work with them.
The problem was described here for Acrobat DC:
    https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/38822896-bug-shadows-disappear-on-windows-10-explorer-wind
but it fully (and even more irritably) applies to Acrobat Reader DC, too.

It seems that for some reason, Acrobat Reader changes (switches off) each time the inherent Windows setting which can be found in System > Visual Effects tab > Show shadows under windows…

  16. If addressbook.acrodata is generated by updating Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL), EUTL will be corrupted. The default behavior of Adobe Reader when opening a signed document for the first time is to prompt for update of AATL. This causes EUTL to stop working and can only be solved by deleting addressbook.acrodata and update EUTL and AATL in the correct order.

    Steps to reproduce the issue:
    1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
    2. Open a document signed with an EUTL certificate.
    3. Accept the prompt for Trust Certificates Update.

    Environment:
Freshly installed clean VM with Windows 10 20H2(19042.985)
    Adobe Acrobat Reader…

  17. ... and I am not referring to the distinction between hand and select tool. I am referring to another problem:

I have set my own cursor scheme for Windows (Lefty Scheme) in Windows system settings. Every application accepts that but Adobe Reader. Whenever using the reader the mouse changes from a white arrow pointing to the upper right corner (lefty scheme) to a black arrow pointing to the upper left corner.

How can I change this? I want the Reader to use the Windows System setting.

    I am using Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit, Version 1709, OS Buils 16299.431 and…

  18. Allow users to keep a toolbar displayed. I have to constantly go to View<Tools<Comment<Open to display the Comments toolbar.

I should have the option of keeping that toolbar open and have it persist even to another session using the software, until I instruct otherwise.
