  1. In the 'New Acrobat' UI, I got a new floating bar on the left top. However, sometimes it hovers over the content and is annoying. I want to have a option/button to collapse it to a small size, and on mouse hover/click it will be expanded again.

  2. New layout of Adobe Reader is utterly counterproductive, and makes everyday use of Adobe Reader much slower and confusing.
I, as well as many other users I know, am using Bookmarks and Pages in at least 95% of times when I use Reader. Therefore, they should be placed on the left, where they are expected to be (it is simply a standard for similar "master-detail" situations).
Also, primary tools, like paging, zoom-in and -out, are placed in a bottom-right corner, just like they were hiding?! But these are the basic tools, and they must be placed centrally, either on top…

  3. It would be great if comments could display Latex, i.e. rendering and displaying the math properly. Currently commenting with mathematical equations is a pain and just forces us to read the Latex source rather than seeing the rendered math.

This might be easily added using a service like mathjax.

  4. With the older version of Adobe reader in the commenting feature, I could highlight some text and start typing and it would automatically cross the text out and allow me to type to replace it. Now I have to manually select the function any time I want to replace text.

Same with selecting text and deleting it.

The update is not user friendly, and it's now taking me a lot longer to complete my proofreading jobs. The old commenting functions worked perfectly well. Put them back please!!!

  5. Open the attached pdf
    Search for HELLOWORLD
Although there are 7 occurrences of the text of page, but on pressing enter for searching all occurrences it only highlights 4.
Somehow, it is clubbing some occurrences under one

  6. Sometimes after 2021, the 2nd row of toolbars were removed and seemingly replaced by QuickTools. However QuickTools, albeit it's name, is less proficient than having the second row of tools available, in sight, and ready to be clicked.

Specifically, all I'm asking for is to bring back what was taken away just so that its inclusion can be set by the user. Personally, I'm on the side of a person who uses Adobe Acrobat Pro to edit documents and find that for the number of tools I use often, they're not as quickly accessible when having to click on a…

  7. Failing in 32 & 64 bit versions 2023.001.20093 and 2023.001.10143 on Windows Server 2019 Remote Desktop Session Host (untested on other environments)

Brief: Users with print rights assigned via a group, not direct permissions (see caveat below), quick print will open Reader but does not send a job to the printer (only Acrobat Reader, file types to other apps quick print fine)

Extensive details (I have procmon captures too)

Normal printing works fine. If they open a file with any application and file > print or CTRL+P etc. it prints successfully. Quick print opens Acrobat Reader, but in non-working scenarios…

  8. For the attached file, Adobe Reader claims that the stamp annotation (Object 129) was modified after the second signature. However it wasn't, that object wasn't included in any further incremental save. IMHO this is a bug in Adobe Reader, apparently related to the fact that the stamp annotation does not contain the (optional) /P entry. (Adding the /P entry solves this). This was reported to the PDFBox team and on stackoverflow in question 74836898.

  10. This issue happens with keyboard-only and screen reader users.

When exporting, saving or publishing a document as a PDF, the interactive features within that document (such as hyperlinks) don't work when the PDF is viewed in a browser (any browser). The only way an interactive PDF works as intended is when it is opened with Acrobat Reader.

There must be an issue between the interactivity within a PDF and how browsers render that PDF document for accessibility. Can this be fixed so it doesn't matter whether a user has Acrobat or uses a browser to view a PDF and interact…

  11. It is absolutely unacceptable that the Acrobat Reader changes the system cursor, and doesn't allow for some method of disabling this!
It shows that Adobe have ZERO respect for their customers.

I have a vision impairment. I have changed my Windows cursor to a very visible, fat, red cursor, because otherwise I lose track of where it is. But Adobe's opinion on that is "********!!!!" apparently.

    Why?

Why do you hate your customers, Adobe?

  12. If addressbook.acrodata is generated by updating Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL), EUTL will be corrupted. The default behavior of Adobe Reader when opening a signed document for the first time is to prompt for update of AATL. This causes EUTL to stop working and can only be solved by deleting addressbook.acrodata and update EUTL and AATL in the correct order.

    Steps to reproduce the issue:
    1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
    2. Open a document signed with an EUTL certificate.
    3. Accept the prompt for Trust Certificates Update.

    Environment:
Freshly installed clean VM with Windows 10 20H2(19042.985)
    Adobe Acrobat Reader…

  13. I would like to be able to save a PDF in only one click.
Currently, I have to click 3 times. I click on save.
    1. The 'Save as' windows open (this window is a fraud btw).
    2. Then I have to click on the folder that I want.
    3. Then I have to confirm the file name in the right folder.
Other softwares (such as Foxit) allow to simply save in one click my PDF in its original folder. As simple as that.
    Thanks

    1. Brief title:
Jump to specific page in pdf document via URL (browser extensions)

    2. Description of desired feature:
When doing research for university, I often open many tabs at once. Sometimes books in pdf document form from my local file system. When closing google chrome and reopening on the other day, the document opens up at the first page. It would be nice if a) the document keeps its position when closing the browser and reopening, or b) via an #[pagenumber] at the end of the URI in the browser I can navigate to specific pages, especially on browser reopening -…

  15. please add and allow the cursor to change. I am visually impaired and have enlarged Window mouse pointer. When mouse pointer gets into the Reader, it "disappeared" and was so small and hard to follow!

  16. I know that a lot of programs are switching towards a tab-based structure when opening several files at a time. But it sometimes is very handy to be able to open several PDFs in several windows. I know that this is possible by rightclicking the file etc., but I miss a setting that opens PDFs be default in a new window - and not in a new tab.

Can there be some kind of "setting" that says:
O - open PDFs in new tabs
X - open PDFs in new windows

  18. Restore the simple, clean layout of Reader 11, at least as an option, for those of us simple needs. I want a simple document reader, not an editor. Thank you.
