Acrobat Pro DC - Prepare Form - Add An Image Field doesn't work in CC 2018
OS: 10.13.1 & Acrobat Pro DC 17.12.20098.240878
When building a form for a client, I use the "Add An Image Field". This field stopped working properly after I updated OS and to CC 2018. Now when the client tries to add a photo, everything works as expected through the photo upload process, but the photo will not display in the photo's form field after they click the "OK" button after browsing for and uploading the photo.
The options for the button are "Label only", "Invert", State: Up. These are the default settings for the Image field.
I was able to find a workaround. I cut the image field from an old (2017) pdf and past it into the new (2018) PDF, then save. This works.
I have not changed the way I create Image Fields so this "old" image field should have the same settings as the "new" one. The only difference is, the old one works, the new one does not.
There is also a secondary bug. When creating the Image Field, I change the background and stroke to transparent. In the 2018 version, the checkbox to make the stroke and background transparent is missing. My co-worker still has this box, however, she is on OS 10.12.
Let me know if you need anymore information.

The fix for the issue “transparent missing” has been officially rolled out with latest Acrobat update

The setting for the image button that works is "Icon Only", Invert, State Up. We assumed "Icon Only" was to have an icon in the image area to encourage the reader to "click here to upload your photo". When the client then decided to not have the "click here" icon, we switched the setting to "Label Only" so text that says "Click Here" would show and the reader would know to click to upload their image. However, the "Label Only" state did not allow images to upload. We went back to "Icon Only/Invert/up to make it work.

So, for the photo to be displayed in the photo’s form field, the options for the button should be same. Kindly confirm. For the second issue "checkbox missing for background transparent" is a known bug with OS upgrade to MAC 10.13 High Sierra -
