text properties just lock so you can't edit font size or colour, copy and paste doesn't work and the ridiculous way you have to navigate to tools is so time consuming when you are constantly trying to mark up pdf's and I only use a handful of options that could easily fit on the toolbar pane. pretty poor offering from adobe

I ***HATE**** using this software. The old program was easy, fast, intuitive. Why do I have to take 3 steps to use each tool? I just need to redline a shop drawing, and it's taking forever. Very frustrating. This user interface is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My IT department requires us to use this incompetently designed version of Acrobat. I've used Acrobat for decades and it peaked years ago. This version is beyond disappointing, with these ridiculous icons taking up acres of screen space.
Gee, folks, why not include a box of crayons with each copy? In your effort to dumb down the program, you were only successful in making it dumb. I thought Microsoft sucked at UI. This program gives MS a run for their money.

I wish I could downgrade to an early version. Like mid-90s or so. It worked back then. I'm sure, though, that they've deliberately added many bells and whistles no one wants, to the point where you couldn't use an older version.
I'm reviewing this site and commenting while I wait for a dialog box to be fully displayed on a Save As command...

Absolutely terrible! Tons of changes with little or no progress. Why? I really wanted to like this but I have to Google everything to find out how and why. The program is buggy as well. To the Adobe Acrobat team: You should be ashamed of yourselves. You've had decades to get it right but can't seem to get the job done. Remember, for everyone who comments there are a million who don't... but we are all thinking the same thing. Adobe Acrobat DC is REALLY BAD and will not help your productivity at all.

Can anyone explain to me the distinction between great Creatve Suite development and the abjectly incompetent management of Acrobat. We use acrobat to proof and comment on AI files converted to PDF for the biggest producer of print art for consumer products and the wealthiest man in Canada. We all want to deliver the Acrobat developers to the fate they deserve. So get positive, developers, or just give it to a disruptor. You’re wasting our time.Epic Fail.

my office just downgraded to acrobat dc from acrobat 11 pro. S**tiest program ever. Say nothing of the recurring annual fee. How the **** do I combine a document? the "tools" bar is attrocious. Why do I need to take up the whole screen to look at five s**ty icons? maybe i'm old fashioned, but updates should improve reliability, not require completely changing the user interface. You suck adobe product designers.

I was forced to upgrade by my IT department and I am completely aghast by the redesign. The portfolio part of the program which I relied upon for my daily work is unusable. Is frankly a shocking, pathetic downgrade in the product.

Adobe Pro 2017 positively sucks. Can't save files to My Documents, the font when you open the document is a fuzzy piece of ****. The OCR is ****-poor, much worse than IX Pro. I installed the PC version, wanted nothing to do with the cloud and the cost was a big mistake. I am uninstalling and going back to IX

Maybe there is a preference for this but why when I hit the 'tools' tab does it flop back to the tools home page with all those terrible icons...why doesn't my doc stay showing and the tools come up as a right side nav? Forgive me if it is a preference now that I have missed and if so maybe someone can tell me...? So I hit tools then go back to document then there is the right side nav tools...makes no sense....is this a pref problem on my side??

The interface went so far off the reservation it has cost me so much time and $$ to try to figure out. I hope that someone steps up and gives Adobe some competition because they just don't care anymore.

I also have been using acrobat distiller/pro for YEARS. This version is clunky and non-intuitive. At least do a drag drop to the toolbar so we don't have to waste time finding basic icons that you've unnecessarily categorized in ways that make finding tools way too difficult! (And the zoom tool s/b default on the tool bar--so many people comment on the difficulty of finding and adding that one basic tool, yet you've decided others are better defaults?) I don't need my brain cluttered w/ non-intuitive, HUGE icons in groupings that are under your tools tab. Go back to small icon sizes so that we don't have to keep our window three times the size of the document just to see a standard tool set on the tool bar. Get rid of that silly tool tab (and home tab) and let us organize our own individual icons on our own toolbar for our own use at normal icon size!! I can't imagine the lost productivity time this version has caused. Please do a new version based on your older versions and scrap this one entirely! "Find your tools here" is also a waste of space. And the customize quick tools window should look exactly like my tool bar when I go to edit it. Icons are just flying all over the place and they are just not easy to corral. Soooo disappointed. Did you not have designers test this before release?

I cannot express my disappointment in how Adobe has changed their product. I've been using Adobe Professional and Distiller for over a decade. Like Microsoft, however, they make everything more difficult to do in their latest version. What used to take 1 click now takes 4. And, the graphics of the tool icons are washed out. I'm surprised there isn't a "like" button with all of the stupid childish color icons. The way it integrates into my browser is inefficient. Severely disappointed.

I sometimes have to use Adobe Acrobat Pro. The preferred way I deal with images that arrive in a .pdf format is to take a screenprint, paste that in MS Word or Publisher, then save as a jpeg.
Anything that can be done to remove any trace of Acrobat from the file is pursued as soon as possible, to make the image usable. I have tried adjusting Acrobat's settings re: image resolution, etc. to make it workable. Even simple editing like cropping is terrible. The SW must have some utility, but it is completely worthless with images.
