Even after removing text layer, Acrobat refuses ClearScan OCR because "page contains renderable text."
Even after I remove the hidden text layer in a PDF, I'm still not able to run an OCR with "ClearScan" (i.e. "Editable Text and Images"). It's strange because the text layer appears to be gone, yet running OCR produces the error "Acrobat could not perform recognition because: page contains renderable text."
Can you please share the exact steps so that we can understand the issue completely?
Also, Did you try the steps mentioned earlier?
It took you 2 weeks to respond and you don't appear to have read my post from September 24.
How do I share the pdf on this forum?I don't see any way to upload files …
I remove the hidden text layer via Protect > Remove Hidden. I make sure "Hidden Text" is checked and then I click "Remove." I *can* successfully run ClearScan OCR if I first export the text as an image.

Can you please try the following steps:
First, export the file to an image file.
Then again convert it into pdf and try then ClearScan.
Also, Can you please share the steps to remove the hidden text layer and the test file too?
I am able to run OCR with the "Searchable Image" option, just not with "Editable Text and Images"
