I do not want to add comments to every mark I make from the copmments section. This is annoying and should be optional.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please follow the below steps :
1. Open acrobat and press CTRL + K to open the preferences.

2. Could you please try to disable the checkbox for the commenting preference : "Automatically Open comment pop-ups for comments other than notes ".

Once done, please create new comments . Let us know if that helps,
