Dec 11 Update Failed | Problem with licensing module
What's the best way to resolve this?
Update failed. "Problem with licensing module"?
Uninstall Acrobat Pro DC from the CC Desktop App and reinstall?
Tried to use the Update feature in the Help menu of Acrobat Pro DC and that failed.

PS: First tried a reply at "PLEASE Don't make the user go through a menu to check off a comment! You DOUBLE the time it takes to go through comments." that first seemed to fail. See screenshot two with the running wheel. In the meanwhile my comment made it through.

Hi Ahusain,
tried uninstalling, reinstalling Acrobat Pro DC with the CC Desktop app. Still I am not able to install the update.Next step: Will try to set the registry key as you suggested.
Will come back to report if all went well.
Thanks,

Hi,
Could you please restart your computer and set the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\]
"Logging"="voicewarmupx"Try updating the product again, if the installation fails again, share the MSIXXXXXX.log (eg MSI796f5.LOG) file from %temp% location.
Thanks

Hm, maybe you should know that I changed the language of Acrobat Pro DC from German to English and also saved some new Preflight profiles. Could that be the problem with the update process?
Also: I'm currently signed in with the Adobe Forum with a different Adobe ID than my CC Account is running. Could that be the core problem?

Ammar wrote in this other thread:
" If your product is not already updated, you can manually do so from within the product. Click on the menu Help-> Check for updates."Tried that and the "update failed". Got exactly that error message.
Went to: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/update-errors-acrobat-reader-windows.htmlThere was no specific error number. I'm on Creative Cloud. The helpx page is for perpetual versions only, I think.
Should I uninstall Acrobat Pro DC and reinstall through the Creative Cloud Desktop App?
German Windows 10 machine.
