Acrobat PDF browser plug-in is missing

I have Adobe Acrobat DC only and I continually receive this error message:

The Acrobat PDF browser plug-in is missing. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader to fix this problem.

Please help me fix this issue.

    Hi Lisa,
    Can you check whether the following DLLs are present in the location - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX

    1. AcroPDF.dll
    2. AcroPDF64.dll
    3. AcroPDFImpl.dll
    4. AcroPDFImpl64.dll

    Then can you open regedit and check whats the value mentioned at "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe"
    . It should point to the correct Acrobat/Reader exe.

    Then can you launch any PDF directly from Acrobat and make it the default viewer for all PDFs.

    Let me know if that fixes the issue.
