I am adding my weight to this here.
Please provide a solution to disable this feature.
It affects my productivity greatly.
Now looking at BlueBeam as a possible alternative.

Yes, please give us an option to get rid of the black floating toolbox. It actually doubles the time it takes to do something because it is just in the way so I have to move to get to the item I want to click on.

Thanks for reaching out to us. you Can Disable the Floating toolbar functionality by Going to Preferences and then unchecking the box saying "Show Quick actions on text selection". After this you will not see the Floating pop up any more.

However if you want this in future you can always go back and check the same box. I hope this resolves your concerns.

Alright, you got rid of it on the text boxes - well done. But it's still present on other comment markups - bubbles, rectangles, arrows, etc. Trying to edit these graphic items continues to be challenging because of this unnecessary popup. Sometimes I'm having to relocate notes blindly because the popup is hovering over the intended final destination. I shouldn't have to do a command more than once because of poor software.

PLEASE include a way to switch off the black box.
I can't see to type as it invariably hovers OVER the text box and I have to finish typing and then go back in to count characters to alter text.... VERY annoying :(

Hate this trash can pop up. Makes my work so much more time consuming. If I want to delete something I'll use the delete key. GET RID OF POP UP PLEASE!

Dude, I cannot express any further on how bad this feature is!
We already had (3) options for "delete" which is edit>delete, the "delete" key, or Right-Click>Delete.
One of the develepors mustve been prompted to come up with a fresh idea or its curtains OR they left on bad terms with a "flipping the bird"-type of goodbye.
Adobe....do us a solid and remove this feature. We did not need nor want this.
If you want a fresh idea how about being able to rotate individual comments.

This feature is super annoying and not helpul AT ALL! No way to disable it? That's just crazy! Trash can covers up text that I'm trying to edit. This is a hinderance, not a help. Please, please get rid of this feature or at the least have a way to disable it!

This Black Garbage Can is SO Irritating, and has no use when I'm working, EVER. It needs to be thrown into the Garbage,and I don't care what Color "That" garbage can might be. The ONLY thing this Black Garbage Can helps me with, is my Foul Language!!!!

Wow, get RID of the stupid trash can that consistently blocks/prevents entering text into a text box - super aggravating. Who uses that anyway. There are other ways to delete a text box.

The trash can black box absolutely prevents me from changing the text in a comment. It stops work and we should be able to turn it off.

This is a major inconvenience; please remove it. It's a shame that us customers have to plead you to stop inconveniencing us.

I use Acrobat DC Pro every single day in my business, not just occassionly and for fun, at least 100 times a day. This new pop up black box with the trash can and sticky note is an absolute fiasco to work with and is totally useless. I can think of several things that would be fantastic improvements to the program that would really be beneficial to me as well as tens of thousands of other users out there.

Please get rid of this piece of TRASH !! Or, as another one of the writers below commented, give us the option of turning it OFF !!

This feature is annoying and obstructive. I use the reader to read and edit patterns. These pop-up boxes/buttons obscure the text, interrupt workflow, slow down productivity. Please PLEASE kill them ASAP. Thank you.
