Extra line on a Japanese character that only gets printed and viewed on Adobe Acrobat
When viewing or trying to print the attached P1L1S1.pdf there is a character that is shown in the second image attached, that has an extra gray line visible only at certain zoom - like 400% - or when printed.
The issue is that the same file is printed and looks alright with other PDF viewers and editors - the only software with this issue is Adobe Reader one.
Can you please review this and let me know the cause?
Thank you!

Hi Swapnil,
Thank you for your reply.
Maybe I was not clear enough in showing the artifact appearing on that character - it is NOT after it, it is inside it - a gray line that is visible only at 400% zoom on my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - version 2020.013.20074.We have gone through the vendors that provide the software generating that PDF and they have concluded it is something to do with Adobe processing that character that somehow adds it. The big issue is that it appears while we are trying to print this file with different types of commercial printers (inkjet or laser) - it would not have mattered much if it was only a visible artifact at some zoom settings but not printable.

Hi Lucian,
Thanks for reporting the same here.
We tried printing the same PDF file using Adobe PDF Printer and tried viewing the same zoomed as mentioned but observed no extra line after the mentioned Japanese character.
Attached is the PDF file for the same.
Can you help us with few details to identify the issue :
- Acrobat version (DC/Classic other), any build detail
- OS version (and build details)
- With Reader we don't provide Adobe PDF Printing but viewing is still available; is this the scenario
- Can you mention exact steps
- Printer used to create the PDF (in case of Reader)These answers might help identify the issue.
Regards,

We have investigated the font for that character and that particular artifact is NOT part of it - it just shows and prints on Adobe Acrobat.
